2. I have Calander and Contact on the bottom of the screen. How do i change it to Phone and Contacts

Curious as to why you'd need this - the green call and video call buttons always open the phone app, so I personally don't see any benefit in wasting one of the soft keys for a function which is already supported by two hard buttons.

Thanks for Your replies. Think i'm getting there slowly. First PocketPC device.

I kind of just got used to using the Phone shortcut button rather than using the hard buttons.....

I downloaded and installed \Extended_ROM\UK_Vodafone_Contract.CAB and i still don't see any Vodafone Settings under connections.

Please Advise?

Dont worry about the settings, give these ones a try on this page. The GPRS/WAP/MMS settings are all there just follow the links....i would advise setting up wap and gprs first, then mms last.

@bbasra

I had to enter my details manually i find it better as i know precisly what the handset is doing.....if there was a way of writing a .cab to enter these details automatically hopefully someone has done that.

Right, managed to get all the Vodafone Connection Settings Back.

Use :
Vodafone_Contract_UK_PPC_V2.0.CAB

After all that Firmware upgrading and headache, I still have the Screen Alignment Issue and still don't get the sms alerts for voicemail notification... Vodafone v1605 Serial HT628......

@bbasra Can you just flash the phone with the dopod firmware and the dopod ext rom, use it for a week and try not to use the leather case that came with the phone. Reports are coming out that the magnets are doing the missalignment as well.

So reflash full Dopod firmware make sure its the latest version and leave the original ext rom and dont use the leather case and see what happens.

I have have never use the leather case that came with it. It's still in the box, i just leave it in my pocket.

So you want me to reflash using :

Dopod English 1.23.707.4 07/21/06 ?? 1.06.00.10 32.37.7010.01H

No worries, i'll do it now.

My M3100 arrived yesterday, and I love it! Though the P990 is 'sexier', I think it would've frustrated me.

My question is should I try to flash my ROM considering I have no idea what I'm doing, or just leave it as it is since I appear to have no screen problems?

It says I'm running ROM version: 1.23.61.4 from 13/7/06
