Hi peeps,

I have copied CID 49's version of the camera driver to my K750i but I don't think it is fully working.

For one, I can't seem to change the function (left, right with phone in horizontal), as pressing the zoom keys always changes the scene mode regardless of the function I'm in, i.e. -1.0, which should affect brightness.

I'm very confused as to whether I misunderstood how to use this super-mode thing... What does EV stand for, BTW?

Also, I tried using the non CID49 version and it didn't work at all...

Will someone please shed some light on this?

[EDIT]One last thing: my camera is always in super-mode; there is no need to do the key sequence. How come, I ask? Shouldn't I have to activate super-mode?[/EDIT]

are you referring to 8.52 or 8.53? They are two different drivers. For the 8.53, there is no need to "activate" the supermode unlike in 8.52. You only need to access specific functions by remembering the right key combinations, i.e. 1.3 then nightshot (for the default nightmode), macro ON+nightmode OFF for the smooth linear zoom, etc.

Read the instructions very well again. I think you're just confused or misunderstood the instructions.

Ah! I see now... Driver v8.53 does everything automatically, right? Unlike what happens with v8.52, one does not need to setup everything from JPEG quality, to brightness, etc, am I right?

Anyway, which of these drivers would you recommend I should use? I am after the best quality looking pics and wouldn't mind using v8.53 if it produces good enough pics.

Thanks for your reply.

I have a w800i (R1BC002, camera version 4,5)

I´ve been interested in Supermode camera and acoustic drivers you have been discussing here for two months.
BUT I feel so confused when reading this topic, Ok, I´m a dummie, newbie and old - but why not to write a clear HowToManual for not-experts?

I hope there is at least one helpful guy here, thanks;) And please don´t say "use google" (because you will find just more esato topics, I have tried). If there is a good driver give some concrete advice - sharing is gold.

I´ve downloaded 8.53 driver and "found the line".
But editing/overwriting some files?
Need other programs?

I think 8.53 is a great driver. just needs quite a lot of getting use to. it is not just the settings. the order you apply the settings has to be done right too.

I am trying to put together a cheat sheet so I can keep as a text file on the phone for quick reference. obviously I cannot cover every single condition. but would really serve as a rough guide.

here is what I got so far..
Daylight outdoor sunny= 1.5, night mode off, EV -1.0
Daytime outdoor cloudy = 1.5, night mode off, EV 0.0
Night indoors normal light (faster shutter) = 1.3, then night mode on, EV 0.0
Night indoor low light (Slow Shutter) = 1.8, night mode on, EV -0.7
Night time streetlight = 1.8, night mode on, EV +1.7 with tripod

can anyone please help me add/modify and build on this?

thanks

PS. But... i still miss 7.7final if you could make 7.7final with enchanced nightmode plz, or someone else who can, thx)

PPS. Nevermind i played with this driver little longer and its almost perfect only one thing: preview could be smoother like in 7.7final

I'm going to have to go against this driver in terms of normal use. The actual pictures taken by this driver are horrid when in normal mode. I don't know about the super mode, but if you're looking to do "point and shoot" pictures, don't use this driver at all. The supermode functions are meant to take good pictures in accordance to specific settings in specific environments.
