I have the very creaky back and mine sounds like there is something loose rattling around inside when you gently shake it even though its never been dropped.

i wanna ask something, my k850 got a silly problem, if i use it as a removable device, the data in m2 automatically formatted, all data deleted, but the one in phone memory is safe, i thought the problem is in the m2, so i changed it to the new one in the shop, but it happened again and i changed the m2 again until the shop is upset. I use sony m2, n then for the fourth times i shifted to sandisk and it works perfectly till now.

I just wanna ask the problem is in the sony m2 or my computer or m k850?

thanx

I'm having a small problem with photos on my phone.

I transferred the memory card from my k800 to the k850 and despite being able to see previously taken photos in perfectly clear quality when I find them in the camera album, they show up fuzzy and unclear when set as a background.

This does not happen with newly taken k850 photos however I can only set them as standard, not maximised. When I attempt to set anything as maximised I am told there is no space on my phone and that I have to delete some files, though this seems to have absolutely no effect on the problem.

Help!

@ocean21, probably some setting on the computer. But still ,sounds strange. Are u using some software besides SEs?

@The Fuzz, probably some FW bug, there are so many now. You can also go to the shop and try the card in a different one. Or 2. Try to copy everything to the comp and reformat the card.

Just yesterday I took a photo and used PhotoFix. It froze. Then yesterday I was listening music as everyday, and it started to change BPMs by itself. Soooo annoying...
About the noise when shaking, I think is the lense cover... Brrr..

but it only happens when i use sony m2 and the sandisk m2 has no problems at all. so after that i've never bought sony m2 again, you know it's very tiring to fill up the m2 for many times. Btw d u know roughly the price to sell k810? i wanna change to new phone and thinking to sell my old k810 first.

thanx very much

Hope SE guys will include again in the new firmware the function that allows you to know what time is it, missed calls and messages when the telephone is on stand by.

This funtion is vital once you get used to it!!

Kind regards

Alot of people are becoming confused with R1CA029 and R1CA037

R1CA029 is the first release of the firmware for the K850 to he Public on launch ( There are many firmwares before this one but were testing firmware only)

R1CA037 is not a major update but an important quick fix update.
Many peoples phone were starting not to switch on or had Java application problems.

R1CA037 was a script fix for Java to stop most of the phones getting returned as application and non boot phones.

R1CA037 also had a minor allignement in photo, flash and shutter problems However this wasnt a complete fix only a minor one.

R1CA037 had another quick fix regarding how it displayed HSDPA. R1CA029 only ever showed 3g even when you were stood in HSDPA network. R1CA037 fixed this by now showing H on the main screen

There is a major Firmware due out in late Jan 2008 / Early Feb 2008.
With major enhacements on the phone.
From what i understand that are being addressed are, compatibility, speed, camera, java, freezing, corruption and much more behind the scenes

Many people on here have commented regarding when they have updated the Voda handsets using SEUS, the VF customiseation has gone.
Orange had a simular problem with the K750, however SE did notice the fault and on the next firmware update the orange customisation returned. VF will be the same (Sorry to be the bearer of bad news)
(I beleive at present SE have now removed the VF update of SEUS to fix the issue)

The only way to trully decostomise your phone is to completely re-write the phones software

Hope the above helps

The firmware that has been released for VF and some model is R1DA038. Improvements in camera i beleive and slight speed inprovements. However its only ava currenlty on TIM, VF and some unbranded HK phones.

Regarding the stanby screen, from what i know - this will never be there on the k850i.
This is because the screen uses TFT Technology and the background is black (The clock is always there, we just cant see it)

The K800 and other K series use a white black ground which enables you to see the clock etc.

To be honest i have got use to it now and just use the up and down buttons to see if i have had a miss call.

TFD screens are used on some SE models, which is why you can see them at all times. They consume less power because they can be switched to a mono-only display.

I don't know why they're not used on all models to be honest. I guess it comes down to cost.

And, as far as I'm aware, the Vodafone firmware was simply a rapid-fix to restore the Vodafone branding (icons/layout) and is in fact the same as the version available for everyone else.
