me too I have about 3 dead pixels, but I think these are still normal. It is somewhat like those with LCD screens where 3 dead pixels are still within norm but more than 5 dead pixels its an hardware issue already.

What resolved my issue is flashing it with SEUS. My phone is back to life now

Well, I know that the pros are too much and the cons are a few... In fact, only 1 or 2.... But people are made this way, we always search the negative side of things
However, the stuck pixels even if almost invisible in normal conditions are psychologically really annoying... Do you think it has sense trying to replace the screen in warranty or it's easier that you'll receive even more stuck pixels with a different one??
(I tried the Java tool, but it doesn't help; I don't believe him that much...)

Only one last thing, about the restarts/crashes/etc... In these 5 days I've been kinda lucky coz nothing like this happened till now... Well, only once the phone freezed but that was my fault...

@TeknoBoi90: Hi, you're right about that one, it's psychologically annoying, i considered changing the phone under warranty, but after that i chose not to do it, because i've read that two or three dead pixels are considered normal to some manufacturers.
I also took into account that SE quality control has not been at its best lately, and since i have had no other issues with my phone, i chose to keep it.
However, it comes to an individual decision whether to change the phone or not, i personally chose not to do it, for the reasons posted above.
I currently am just ignoring them, and they don't bother me that much now.
I also used the java application and also a video which I think could work, but since you cannot play it continuously, the effect is diminished.... it runs fullscreen contrary to the java application, which leaves part of the screen out...
Sorry for the long post
EDIT: If you're interested in the link of the video, i can look for it and post it here, just let me know...

Hi Guys
new C702 owner here.
Made a few posts about some issues but after debranding the 702 from Vodafone to a generic Western European firmware (followed a link from here to
here (hmmm seems to be offline at the mo) )
First impressions
its far snappier than with the default Vodafone firmware
geotagged photos now have an option to view on map via media
it now charges via USB
I've been able to make a 3g connection (2.5mb throughput in a low signal area on O2) via a tethered connection using SE PC Suite although I still haven't got it working via Bluetooth directly
As for the phone itself, more than happy with it although I havent retrained my head as to where the space key is yet ;o)
