Quite possibly yes it could as its is basically an X10 apart from being slightly smaller, thinner, slightly faster and has a front camera.

What I don't like about the ray:

Occasional screen flicker. Happens across the middle of the screen every few seconds when using the default browser.

No camera button. Have tried to get used to touch focus before but really gets on my nerves.

Over sensitive touch keys. The back and menu touch keys can easily be activated by accident. Not good when your halfway through reading something.

Very poor screen in daylight. Brightness has to be almost 100% to see the screen.

Home key feels wobbly/fragile. I'm using my third replacement Ray and I've noticed this on all three phones.

Things I like:

Everything I liked/used in the x10 can be used on the ray

WiFi connects faster

Portrait keyboard is better than the x10's

Thin/less bulky size

Earpiece is much louder over the x10. Can actually make out what is being said better and don't feel the need to use my hbh-pv740 as often.

Probably more as I go along but for now I like the Xray and hope the phone gets more support from in the future.

My Ray has gone back for a refund. Why?? That annoying bloody flickering. You know what it is?? When it happens very quickly you see a yellow like warning symbol appear on the screen the signal drops out & what I also kept getting was internet cut off's. I thought it was my sim card but was not in the end. I thought the screen was fine in sunlight but just not as good as x10 was.

Using data connection I do occasionally get a prompt saying there is no connection even though there was. The page then loads after.
Imo the data cut off and screen flicker are both firmware related and can be an easy fix by

Oh, sorry!
Why not removing the whole playlist and install all the songs again... I guess it would be less irritating then trying different things with unknown effect.

i tried that, but the artist name is my problem.

The screen flickering problem was already discussed by many phone reviewer sites just prior to its release. They also said it as a software bug. So next software update should correct it.

Hopefully it will. There seem to be quite a few nice additions coming in the 2.3.4 firmware from what I read on Xperia blog.
I'm starting to get the feeling that the Ray was rushed out before it was actually finished (kinda like certain other phones have done). I can understand why some people are starting to be put off by it.
It's actually a nice phone but has so far been spoiled by poor Sony Ericsson QC.

I was thinking of taking mine back and buying a Wildfire S but I eventually decided on sticking with the Ray.

I would buy a different HTC than the WFS. With the Ray i worried also about its longevity as it all seems so fragile

I like the Ray quite a lot.
There are minor software glitches which can be fixed quite easily.
Hopefully take care of Ray as much as X10 (remember the early Andorid 1.6 days)
Ray seems to be far a head of X10's first release.

One thing is annoying but can be get used to that when you slide something on the screen you can accidently hit back button.

Damn it is sexy and it is a chick magnet even though they say they like my x10 more than this.
I can show them my X10 at home anytime
