damnnn that red is sexy. if they made the front bezels BLACK with all the other sides RED.. i would be sold. but yes, this is likely a japan exclusive. i will be very happy with BLACK as it's so classic and it's going to look absolutely gorgeous.

How many of you think Sony will use a new design in IFA?
For me the chances of sony using a new design is very high. This is just pure speculation but hear me out. My speculation is based on the leaked design concept during 2015 sony hack.
For Z5 series Sony used the 'mono' design (2015) -
For XZ series Sony used the 'tube' design (2016)-
So if they follow the trend we should see the 'Y' design in (2017)-
I'm pretty optimistic about the Y design concept. Finally we'll have a slim bazels omnibalance design language so many of us are waiting for.

That Red is very alluring! Might just wait a month or so to see if they'll release this color for other markets and them ironing out any manufacturing bugs for the earlier batch. If it does not release, I can always just bother my friend to help me get it, since she's going back to Japan during the summer.

I've got the MDR-1000X, awesome. I've never had to use the lead as the battery is fantastic.
I'm debating whether to pay extra and get the black XZP now or wait until my contract is up at the end of July and get a chrome version. Really fancy the chrome.
