@abu Three things you should know about God. 1. He is not a democrat. Theocracy is his preferred mode of Government.
Sorry to burst this bubble, coola, but theocracy WAS his preferred mode of government. And that was valid only with the Jews.
Quote: 2. His WILL can be known by man.
True. Very true. In this case I happen to know His will (and I'm not kidding; I am a minister of the Gospel, remember. He wants OBJ out of there on the double
Quote: 3. He uses any man, Saint or 'sinner' to govern ppl. Even evil Nebuchadnezzer was used by God.
True, but He does that not by default. He would prefer a righteous, honest leader. Remember, Nebu, Cyrus and co were "punishment" for Israel's mis-adventures. God clearly wanted righteous leaders for them - and for us too.
Scriptures is full of references to God's heart concerning leaders. He hates oppressors and would rather they are not in power. If in power, He would use them to work out some good INSPITE of those leaders' madness (OBJ has done some good in the last few years, no doubt).
Finally, it is clear from Scriptures and history that God's will is not always what is on ground. Why? He gave man free will. We often make choices that run contrary to God's desires - like a lady who marries a randy man; like the innocent child who dies because its mother wouldnt take her to the hospital, but sits at home praying and fasting; and like in 1999 when the incumbent was voted into office in Nigeria.

@all: now this is interesting discourse!
the point i was trying to make was close to AYA's. i dont believe God chooses every leader for us. its an easy way out of ignoring ur own civic duties.
i also believe that God wills things from the grand to the minuscule. some are way to obvious to ignore, one must recognize His handywork. but to say one can see it all, big and small....
aside from heavy issues, the Mtel should be on by saturday.

no; he does not change. but his methods do. his eternal attributes of jusctice, mercy, love etc do not change.
for example, back in the old testament, you had to sacrifice animals in the worship of god. now, he does not require that. the jews used to be led by prophets. now its different. even the early church practiced varying forms of administration.
stephen, philip and the other 'deacons' were selected through a form of popular 'vote', and right inside a church.
no; god does not change. he has not. god never was a theocrat. we gave him that name.
and if we want to strictly talk theocracy, nigeria must become a mono-religious state and then god would have to raise an undisputed prophet to lead us; someone none of us must question, regardless of what he does.
that is not the way it was in the beginning. theocracy did not come into existence until hundreds of years of man misbehaving on this planet.
nope. god never was a theocrat to start with. we made him one

I just believe that God loves this country and will not allow chaos to reign. If we could be rid of an Abacha, OBJ shouldn't pose a problem.

i believe God loves all countries, all of mankind. people love to assume a special relationship with Him but in reality, God's love is universal and infinite. the only difference is that He may favour at times those who earnestly want to be closer to Him. im still waitin for someone to post Vmobile's wap settings. or does AYA still have it on my site? know if did months ago when it was still in.... uh.... puberty.

@all, an amazing discovery; After downloading via mtn wap, I replaced my vee sim and opened opera forgetting 2 change wap profile back 2 vactive and still got a connection. It wasn't until d morning after, dat I discovered. After dat, I tried using GLO's & got d same result(I wasn't billed). Dat means Vee, Mtn & Glo subs can inter-change their settings 2 connect(opera) free when billing commences.
