Have you guys seen the prices here for the black Nokia 8800?
The official UK Nokia online shop is retailing them sim-free for a whopping £799.99 (approx R8800) and an astronomical £949.95 sim-free (approx R10500)from mobilefun...! Yhu! Ushushu, mobilefun?!

I've actually seen a couple of people with this phone in Slaapstad...they could only haver acquired them through contracts because paying over R10k for a phone is truly ridiculous.

Come to think of it, I still remember when the Panasonic GD87 was retailing for over R6000 (can't recall the exact price) when it was released locally three years ago.

Hey guys. been really busy so not able to post recently. It's so awesome that Voda has introduced HSDPA. Can't wait for first handsets to arrive. A few have already been announced for 3Q this year (Samsund, Benq). Just a few points to make:

1. S-E will be introducing new handsets on 11th and 18th MAY(apparently new form factor). The insider over at Mobile-review has said that W850 and V850 are coming (Clamshell with similar specs to k800).

2. Next week we are likely to see some new N-series handsets from Nokia.

3. For anyone who owns a 3g cellphone and can't seem to pick up 3g signal very often, there is a way to force the phone to use only 3g(incase u wanna make a big download or sumthing). Just manually select Network (there will be two options for Vodacom). Select the one with the home sign. Hope it works for u guys.

4. I've been trying desperately to make vlive access full internet on my pc but to no avail. I understand that Vodacom have probably blocked this. Is there any way around it.

Thanks guys
Cheers

Right, time to bump this thread up again.
Taken this evening at a restaurant called Chili's, inside a business and shopping complex called Canada Square, with Canary Wharf (UK's tallest building) just out of picture to the right, in London.
Used my nephew's Panasonic VS6 (2mp camera) and its 'negative' effect/exposure setting:
