Okay...New Airtel phone connection & Mobile office both active as of 1 hour ago. @gov...i think they were really impressed with me.
@omni...hi..what dial up code do i use for Airtel when i create a new dialup connection on my PC

At work now...will try it on laptop once i get back home.
http sites working fine on phone though. so web access is active. airtel service seems to be faster than orange

@mrao, I soo totally agree with you on that one, I used to have a Hutch Prepaid with the 99/- wap, Now i use the 600/- Airtel postpaid WEB, and its FAAASSSTTTEEERRR.
. And no trouble of WAP not working, or GPRS connecting, but no access.etc.

@mrao... go to data comm and highlight the data account.. more and then select details.. you will see external id... if x is the ext id, then dial up number is *99***x# (atleast that is how it worked for me )
