I just remembered something about nokia planing to get HD video into phones first. I don't think I'll be able to find the article though. Anybody else know?
In my last post I said "new chip from ericsson" and was serious:

quick translation: ericsson has prepared hardware to sustain a 12 mpx camera. The chipset is made up of 3 ARM11 processors and a graphics accelerator. This platform also allow a 800*600 screen, high quality video recording and playback, high quality audio playback. We should first see the platform in the first half of 2009 in a sony ericsson phone.

Well the N93 was the first to have VGA 30fps and the N93i is now discontinued so I can only assume the next version is in production or planning now. Its just my theory. I find it hard to believe that the N96 will be the biggest thing we will see in 2008.

If anybody remembers that SE Can Do it presentation PDF, It states 7MP along with 720p 30 FPS video recording is coming 2008 and that 7MP/720p/VGA screens will be the max resolution that SE will be doing till 2010.
I hope Shiho has these 3 things.

K800 was possible to have VGA 30 fps but it wasnt enabled. SE are slow at implementing new features, you shoud all see that. Obvioulsy I cant comment on their strategy for 2008 but im just saying...

Impressive? Its got VGA there above 2006 and its now 2008 when they are only implementing it for the 1st time. Do you really think they will make the jump to 720 video this year when the majority of their phones still use QVGA? I doubt it.

Well, truth be told, I don't really care since VGA recording is fine for now, but I was just making a comment.
Though SE's strategy seems to be different recently. They seem to be trying to get out of their slump.
