HI GUYS
I WANT TO USE MY NOKIA 6600 AS BLUETOOTH MODEM AND CONNECT INTERNET TO MY PC.I AM USING AIRTEL LIFETIME PREPAID CONNECTON.
WHENEVER I DIAL *99# SYMBOL 'G' STARTS BLINKING ON MY MOBILE
AND DIALOG SHOWS "REGISTERING COMPUTER ONTO NETWORK" SUDDENLY 'G ' DISAPPEARS AND EVERY THING GETS DISCONNECTED. I AM
ABLE TO CONNECT AIRTEL LIVE IN MY CELLPHONE.I WANT TO CONNECT INTERNET TO MY PC.SO PLS HELP ME .PLS GIVE ME THE ENTIRE PROCEDURE
TO CONNECT MY PC AND TO COONECT TO FREE AIRTEL GPRS ,USE IT AS INTERNET CONNECTION.
ANY ONE READY TO ANSWER PLS DO MAIL ME TO

Regarding opera. We are unable to browse in opera because it uses an another proxy server which cant be connected through apn Airtelfun.com .... Try this version of opera http://rangers.wen.ru/opera.wml then go to extramenu settings and change the proxy server address to 100.1.200.99 ... I think this will work . Give it a try... I didnt tried because i dont have a s60 now with me

Opera 8.51 is working fine on my both 6630 & 6630 using airtelfun.com. So why you need to use other versions? I have already posted the rick in the forum.

Welcome to Esato!
Your post clearly indicates that your phone doesn't support multi-channel GPRS. You may try Opera Mini to open bookmark when u make connection. But working chances are very low. If it not works, create 2 Airtel LIVE accounts and set first one as default. Set second account as default in Opera Mini and see whether it works or not.

Just u need is data cable DKU-5 or CA-42 for nokia 3220 and modem drivers of 3220 mobile (u can get them from nokia site if u dont have currently)
just connect mobile with PC
Now when phone is detected and installed on computer then install modem drivers.
Finally enter *99***1# for dial no. when making new connection thru new connection wizard.
I have used no extra initializing string..
open google.com in mobile browser.
U will get "no server access"
immediately connect connection from PC.
U will be connected.
Once u r connected on pc u can open any site on pc(much many) .
I recommend u to use OPERA internet browser on PC.

i can access sites which i can normally do with Airtel live
sorry for the trouble but can you exactly tell at which point do i have to use my mobile browser and when should i start the connection i will be highly thankful
