Here's what I can draw from those (improved) spy shots:
The ratio of the screen in those spy pics is 4:5, which is the ratio of 176x220.
But I don't think a 176x220 screen could render graphics as finely as what is shown. Look at it, the icons at the bottom of the screen are very small, might be too small for a 176x220 screen, but perfect for a QVGA. Very confused, but I'd bet a 176x220, purely out of ratio.
The Ai is around 106x46x9.4mm big. So around the same as the K800, only slimmer, maybe it'll be a tiny bit wider (but less than 50mm I think).
The Ai will come in both black and silver (like I said
).
The Ai has no flash.
The Ai's numerical buttons are about the same size as the gaming buttons on the K800.
I like the Ai better now
I always knew that SE wouldn't make any mistakes, so those earlier shots were earlier prototypes.
Still, the buttons are tiny, and the dpad looks like no fun to use. No flash for the camera (unless that
logo is meant to light up) is a bit sad.
Looks wise, it's more of a grower. I'll like it quite a bit eventually, just like the K800
The silver one is much better; remember the black Ai has a completely orange back!
I never liked the X820, and the Ai is a much better looking device.
On the other hand, the W200 is looking very nice for a low end. Don't know why they had to put a joystick in though, especially because it's a
phone.
UPDATE:
SE is out to make a gaming mobile. And no, not a PSP phone.

And look what I've also found!
Reflections of the devices which took the pictures, and both of them seem to fit the initial descriptions of two very big phones.
The first one looks like an N93 style clamshell, at least in the way that he is holding it, except it'd have to be an
phone. Could it be the Euro version of the W44S?
And the second one looks to be the back of a highly anticipated phone - the Sofia. And the Sofia looks to be in red, just like the K610, and has a circular lens area.
Big stuff.

oh my goodness.... i am shocked.
I have always liked sony ericsson's designs. i thought they bring the best looking phones, but this portfolio... um.... not very impressed.
It looks too metallic I think, too much shiny silver things on it. The motorola RAZR, that metal finish was briliant, but this management of metal wasn't so good.
I think it is possible that when it is released the design will change. I really hope they change. The phone has good potential i think, but the design of the keys are .... not very good.
Other than the design, I think Sony ericsson has a very strong tech spec line. I like their new strategy of separating the Walkman line and the camera line.

That pic of the Ai looked sharp. Must be because of the CCD 5MP on the Sofia.
January can not come soon enough.

@shaliron
I can see you are seeing reflections in the phones. The on in the Ai could be a phone or a camera, but the reflection in the K800 has fingers aka a hand.

[*]
K800 variant
Slightly improved specs but in a different form factor (very likely to be clamshell). Launched at the end of the year. True successor to the Z800. May also be SO903i variant.

Canceled swivel
Rectangular white swivel. Larger than the 7370 so could've been W900 successor. Canceled to fit more mass market. Maybe changed to slider?
I can confirm these 2, the z800 successor went back to drawing board as the k800i and z610i are selling well enough. you can see parts of the work realized on the so903i. there're a couple of issues
1. walkman branding vs vodafone's (and hutchison 3's) music service
2. cost: if SE were to release something like s0903i outside japan, it'll be as expensive as sharp 903. the money went into the screen, the stereo speakers and the camera module now. will people still pay for it when Europeans are so extremely price elastic. the target crowd would be the 903 upgraders, might as well take advantage of Sharp since they're reacting even slower, and the crowd that is just done with the 903 contract.
3. supply: will there be enough Yamaha chips and 2.7"-3.0" screens? will the technology go outdated by the time the factories have saved up stocks for a global launch?
4. external panel design (and software to come with that): 2nd color screen? illumininated music buttons? or just flashy light effects? or the mirror OLED
the cancelled swivel looked almost like an iriver clix, a lot bigger of course, pulled off last minute when the sales manuals were in print. made way for the w44S. no promise of re-using the design. the thing was a bit flimsy and unpopular within the development team
update: ah might as well give you a glimpse of the cancelled device, does no harm really, you can reflect to SE if you really like it

are you saying this unit is real and was cancelled!?!?!?
oh my goodness, this is much better looking than the previous shown with the metal finish etc. why did they cancel it? what's wrong with SE?
thanks for the pic anyway

it is indeed by SE, staff in London should have played with it too.
now would somebody like to confess?
the screen is 2.7", so you can predict how big this thing is, and how hard it is to make the swivel hinge sturdy

so thats why they cancel it? theyre havin difficulties attaching a sturdy swivel device.
how bout you? you have some firm insights about these... what are the reason for canceling... just because K800 are doin good sales doesnt mean they hafta stop from there... they could play around with more attachments right?
