i think i'll have to pay the 50% of its original price, RD$3500.00(~US$102).

of course, if the negociation doesnt turn out, i'll block the phone by its imei. is this 100% secure, right?

my phone is unlocked, so it can be used on any network. but, what if i report my p990 on the three gsm operators? can they block it if a sim of them is used on my phone?

In the UK the network operators block a phone by IMEI, so it'll be barred for all UK SIM-cards.
I hope, your network does this the same way.
You could mention this in the negotiations.
