It is a good idea, but what Max is saying and I agree with him, is that it isn't thatwell excecuted in the C902. The mechanism is a trifle stiff, and not as smooth as the sliding covers of the K750/K800.
The ones I've used have been awkward to open, and probably would have benefited from a spring of somekind.

Yeah you're quite right Marty Mcfly. It does loosen a little over time but is always a little bit weird to open case it sticks a little bit. It does have a nice click once it is open or shut, but in between it is a little scrapey. It's not bad, but it could have been spring loaded.

I can't compare with either the K750i or K800i as I've never tried one before.

I've never had a problem with K750 opening accidently. K800 does occasionally, although only when left in your pocket or bag without a case. However I found it was only very occasionally.

I guess, but I prefer the K750/K800 style of active shutter. For a camera centric device, who cares if once in a while it opens in your pocket, if it means you can open the shutter one handed easily and quickly?

Actually K850 isn't a bad solution however I didn't like the fact there is an unprotected cover that could concievably get scratched and make the camera useless (or at best, bring about the need to swap housings)
