Yes it is colourful but un naturally so & I do have trouble trying to work out how the photos in camera will look. I actually prefer the sharpness & clarity on my XPlay screen but whilst still looking less colourful than GS2 it's more natural. It's not a fault it's just the way S-AMOLED is. If you compare it next to a normal LCD with the whites you will notice

There are three different settings for the screen, Settings-Display-Screenmode

Movie mode brings the most natural colors, at least to my eyes

Yep Bono, Rikkens right, maybe you need to put your phone on the Movie mode setting to get the more natural look.
Me,I don't get to nit picky about things like this.To me the screen is lovely.I'm to busy Modding the crap out of the phone
to worry about blue tinges on white in daylight (which I haven't noticed on my unit) but am now curious and will check tomorrow.
My rom has a kitchen pro app preinstalled which allows you to build up the rom to your liking. Its very clever because once you've downloaded
an item from the kitchen, when you choose to install,it reboots into Recovery and flashes it to your phone. Now that item is part of your rom.
Very clever indeed.
Its kinda allowing you to build your own rom. They have just provided you with a platform to start from.CheckROM RevoHD v4 is a great rom to have
started off with. Its given me a glimpse of the potential of this S2.Once I get a bit more educated about the S2 development, the skies the limit.
Its the dual core and 1gb of RAM that's makes enjoying this phone so much fun.You always feel that there is more power waiting to be unleashed.
That's why I have always gone custom over stock.Your eyes are opened as is your phone.

stock for me..everytime. as nice as some custom roms are, for me, they aren't anywhere near as stable as stock roms....tried a few customs roms but always go back to stock. only change kernals now.

CheckROM RevoHD v4 has zero bugs. Its base is stock, with removal of most things Samsung with the addition of major tweaking.Thats the purpose of the kitchen pro app thats preinstalled. To build up your rom as you want.So everything works.
Theres no way on this S2 that I would choose a semi functional rom over the stock. The stock is just to good. Its so good you dont even need custom roms.I just like playing and improving on what I have.Since it can get better than it is.

So how do I install this RevoHD v4? I'm not used to flashing with the Samsung.
I have stock XXKI3 and CWR installed (latest). What do I need to do, just download the RevoHD v4 rom and flash with CWR?

I hate recommending and assisting people when flashing roms because some people breeze through the process whereas others can end up with a big mess on their hands. If you are familiar though with using Recovery and have flashed roms before using Recovery you should be one of those people that breeze through it.Coming from an X10 I was also a bit wary but after going through the process it is exactly the same.
Here is the link to the CheckROM thread on XDA
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1312240
The download is about halfway down the page.
Inmportant:Put the rom zip file that you download on the root of your internal SD and not your external SD.
Also remember to make a backup of your present stock rom in case anything goes wrong.Other than that do a full wipe, flash the zip via Clockwork Recovery and Bobs your uncle.
Im taking it for granted that you know how to flash a rom via CWR thats why its all so vague but to answer your question yes, just flash the rom with CWR. (with the difference been putting the zip in the root of your internal SD and not the external SD)
