A few weeks ago GSMarena posted about a case on amazon.co.uk for the Xperia Z1s with the delivery date of the 26/11/2013 however I have just been to Amazon to check to see if the date has been updated and the delivery date is now the 14/12/2013. Roumor has it that the phone will be announced on the 26th and if the actual release date is the 14th then the Z1s has the same turn around time as the Z1 approx 3 weeks (in the UK) from annoucment to release could there be any truth in this only time will tell. Here is the link to Amazon if you want to take a look.

Relatively off topic but maybe interested by some of us...

wouldn't expect this but phonearena did clarify Optical Image Stabilization on Nexus 5

***

further more research, discovered that HTC One and LG G2 are used only two-axis stabilizer.

only Nokia that came up with three-axis stabilizer solution and maybe in the same exclusive case for prior of time just like HAAC-Microphone that HTC One was violation in early batch of shipment.

Qualcomm unveils Snapdragon 805 processor

http://www.engadget.com/2013/[....]dragon-805-processor-ultra-HD/

Qualcomm said manufacturer sampling won't start until next year, meaning actual devices are still a ways off.

EDIT: From Qualcomm PR
The Snapdragon 805 processor is sampling now and expected to be available in commercial devices by the first half of 2014

Sony, I hope you're testing it now for 1H14 Xperia flagship

if the Z1 successor comes with this new processor, I would imagine it would be released only once the chip is available to Sony, so can be as late as June.

Well if it uses Z1f display (there`s no point not to) then it will be beautifull IPS display.
Just see those extreme viewing angles with no light leaks and color shifting at all.

How about the diagonal viewing angle of a phone? I'm no expert on mobile displays, but I've seen the Xperia P at angles from their screen's corner. Xperia P has very good horizontal and vertical viewing angles, but turn it from one of its corner and you'll see so much color degradation, like a LOT. It turns a bit more purple and white. My friend has the phone and I always notice that when I look at his phone on an angle. It's like those cheap displays but you'll only see the defect at its corner. Don't brand me a troll, I just notice this. I am not sure if it is a property of whatever screen display the Xperia P is using.

Sony needs a big turnaround for 2014 for their mobile phones, for every aspect of it.

@itsjustJOH
I say sooner, "Z2" announced at MWC, to be released on April.
gsmarena: "Qualcomm is ready to mass produce the Snapdragon 805 chips and we should see them in commercial devices in the first half of next year (the first ones will probably debut at CES in January and MWC in February)."

Any thoughts on November 22nd being the date to wait for, as is speculated in the article?

heh.. feels like an emergency stop gap. it will be in all the device successors that had the 800. its more of a radio coup than anything else. they (Q) are miles ahead in terms of radio integration, and visibility. im glad they announced something.. cuz the CPU is starting to get grey..
