So what do we all think of Nodar's render?

It's not 100% accurate but that's just my description unfortunately. I personally like it and can't wait to see it for real.

Oh by the way Nodar hope you haven't taken the credit for design like you normally do.

So the back design is also like Nodar's?

Not much of a design change if real, they just take current design and squeeze as much screen on it as possible. Guess that us expect if you are increasing the SBR. Not much you can do, beside the frame and tge back.

Fingerprint Display under the screen

Synaptics announced optical fingerprint sensor back at the end of 2016. An updated version was unveiled today that in theory reads the fingerprint when placed under the OLED. The company also shared that a “Tier 1” manufacturer will introduce the first phone with the tech at CES 2018.

Will it be Sony? As Samsung is not going to announce any mobile at CES.

Yes. I still consider them to be premium player in the market. Although it might not be reflecting in sales.

It's probably some Chinese brand. Sony is Tear 1 in terms of brand and quality but they are not in top 5 in phone sales. Besides, I don't think this technology is refined enough either. This could be buggy and have some issues, if it was mature enough, I'm sure Samsung would offer it for their S9.

Under screen FPS is not comfortable to use unless a large are of the screen accommodates it, with a small bottom bezel, it would be awkward to hold your phone to unlock. Also, it better to have a physical key that you can feel because you would struggle if you're fumbling in the dark. I still believe the side mounted FPS is the best and most natural position, this would be a step backwards for Sony but one forward for iPhone X.

I believe they will place it beneath virtual home button .
If you need, you can probably turn on screen ( power button or 2 taps to wake up) then you touch the spot to unlock your phone.

Vivo has been working with Qualcomm, but Synaptics is the one bringing it early 2018.
I do not remember which phones usally come at CES.

Not sure if Galaxy A or any Sony midrange could be these phones to have it.
Or maybe G7 if they use the 835 again.
