I don;t actually think you are ansin's points are all that far apart really. I don;t think he is saying that you shouldn't call the Holy Book you read the Quoraan, but just that, in a technical sense it isn't necessarily a holy word.
I personally don't see much contradiction there.
That puts it clearly, thanks.
The Qur'an, as a book, is holy and should be treated with respect. The label is just a word and, like many Arabic words, can be transliterated in to English in quite a few ways. I think the revelation given to Mohammad (pbuh) is what is sacred, not how the label is spelled. I don't think Koran is less than Qur'an. I don't have strong views on it.

My Muslim test reults:
0 - 15
Secular Muslim.
You are a secular Muslim.
You are a cultural or secular Muslim. You might identify yourself with the Muslim community, but like Kareem Abdul Jabbar, you have no problems with beer commercials. Islam provides you with more of a social setting or community than a set of religious beliefs. You may live by many of the basic principles of Islam, but you do not necessarily choose to attribute them to Islam. You are probably not too comfortable with many of the social restrictions often associated with Muslim organizations or societies.

Progressive Muslim
You are a progressive Muslim.
You are a devout believer in God, and Islam is your direct path to Him. You understand Islam mainly through your intellect. You probably interpret Islam historically and might believe that ijtihad should be reopened. You have probably gone through years of questioning to come to the understanding of Islam that you have now. You might receive criticism for what are perceived as your open views.
i got 39
I was surprised by a few questions.
Our weddings in the gulf have singing and dancing although some leaders say it's wrong like music is evil (those are extreme leaders)
I never heard of the clapping thing because Clapping is important musically.
We clap iin a rythmic pattern to make a beat in some songs.
If you hear it you'll be amazed.

I have edited my previous post to include the actual description of my result.
@amnesia
Not being a Muslim myself I found some of the questions a little tricky to answer, but I believe my responses to be as accurate as I could make them.

I presumed that he was either a non-Christian or someone who is Christian in name only.
