OK, my phone just died some minutes ago. It was sitting on the table, then the keypad lights turned on and it froze like that. It also has the blue ring on the back lit.

I tried to remove the battery and put it back, when I turn it on it's the same. I also tried to update it via SEUS, it tells me that I already have the latest firmware, but I chose to update it anyway. After it downloads the files and waits for a few moments, it says that it failed to update the firmware.

What can I do to fix this?

In the last weeks, since I had this last firmware update, I had tons of problems. The phone was resetting often, even when I was not using it. But it always came back to the menu. This time it looks like it's f***ed.

I saw that may users had this problem, but I didn't see any solutions. Please help!

it seems you will have to flash your phone with Da Vinci or KKclient for around 10 bucks and then you can opt to re-update it to the latest f/w...

That just happen to me as well. As the previous user said, I used KK client to fix it. Davinci didnt work for me, maybe you'll have better luck.

If your phone is branded, it will be really unpredictable when the new f/w will be available... generally speaking, F/W is updated every two months

I used DaVinci to get rid of the blue ring of death. Then I also updated via SEUS to the last firmware. Hope this time I got rid of the restrarts.

I lost 10 euro and all the data in the phone, but at least it's working again. I have a backup of the contacts anyway.

I can't believe that SE can be so stupid. They probably know about this BROD problem and they are not offering a recovery function in SEUS. We have to go to third parties to get our phones fixed, or to send our phones into services, when everything can be easily done online.

Thanks for tips! Much appreciated!
I just tried your first tip (Opanda), and it worked well on the pics with no EXIF data in them, I just added Image EXIFs, and then I could tag the files. But some files had already some EXIF inf., and since this program is a trial, I couldn't edit all of the data, which in turn made the pic... un-tagable.
I googled SIC, and if I'm not wrong, that's a program you have to buy, right? I couldn't find a trial of it neither. Not really wanting to pirate it.
Then I tried the Media Manager program, but the program doesn't seem to find my phone, so don't know how it would work...

Will continue trying and see if I can make all my pics tagable.

Esato doesn't seem to like that I disable HTML in my posts.
