Hi all!
I am new on this forum and would like to say hello to u all!

got some doubts..

should i flash my K850 directly with R1EA031 or should i flash with 037/038 and then upgrade trough SEUS to 031

Or should i flash with 037 and stay on it till next FW?

is it just me who believe that the "restarts" (with R1EA031) nearly allways comes with people who have branded phones, or people who have use da vincis to unbrand their branded phones ????

i have never have one single restart, neither my 2 friends, (both have unbranded)

or is it people here with unbranded phones who gets restarts ???

You may be onto something. Mostly ppl with Branded phones that begin with and then unbranding via DaVinci.

A minute few with non-branded upgrading to 037/038 then going to 031.

SE has a serious problem on their hands along with DaVinci will need to clean up something, and FAST!

Nope - my phone started it's restart cycle which ended with the BROD (Blue Ring ...) after an SEUS update to 031. I had Never had it flashed with DaVinci or ANY other third party utility prior to that. Once I got the ring, I was forced to go to DaVinci because SEUS would start the process by downloading the FM and would be stuck on 0% after which it just told me that it's unable to flash. After I flashed with daVinci I put another version of 031 on the phone and it died again within 6 days. This time I flashed (DaVinci again because SEUS told me the same as the 1st time) to 037 and I'm staying with it. Knock on wood - no reboots. I just think that 031 is bunk firmware, maybe not across the board but at least for certain phones, which to me points to different hardware in the phone... Just a SWAG.

My phone was bought unbranded from a serious store. I had no problems whatsoever until I updated to the last firmware. Then it began restarting and freezing in some java apps, and also had some bugs when viewing photos in media player (but nobody else reported this).

So I don't think it's related to branded phones.

Anyway, the person in charge of the first post should warn people that they can kill their phone with this firmware update. I think we had enough cases to say that it's not a rare problem anymore.

This morning i got my BROD Gave it to the shop where i bought it, and they are sending it in for a repair - dont want to waste money on DaVinci, since i also have a squiky back on it, and some other minor problems. Now i gotta wait 2 weeks till i get it back :'(

its not the firmware bug.
select the proper settings(A/V bitrate etc). i've no sync. prob at all with mine encoded video files.

Don't know what you guys do with your phones but my K850i has not restarted or crashed once with firmware 031
