DaVinci is another way of updating your phone; it's a third part application & firmware file that, paying, will update your phone to a desired version of the software.
If you use it, you won't be able to update anymore using regular SEUS.

I still got the hissing with R1BC002. Every time I start the mediaplayer I hear the hissing noise… Never goanna get rid of that with this phone…
Keep the R1L002 if you want to be sure not to end up with this stupid hissing noise…
That’s just too bad! I got a friend working at a mobile store that upgrades SE phones. If the old R1L002 firmware really didn’t have any hissing, I’ll gladly downgrade. The mp3 player is totally useless with the hissing sound now.
I still have R1AA008, SEUS don’t let me upgrade to R1BC002 jet (Got Telenor, Norway).

* If you have a k750i you can convert it to w800.
* If you have an operator-branded firmware you can de-brand it (and sometimes unlock features that operators have removed).
* You can change the menu/T9 languages.
* You can remove the camera sound in silent mode.

i have R1L002 is it worth while updating to the new one
I was on R1L002 for months, just updated about a week ago. The only real disadvantage with this firmware is the poor video quality however their are some good improvements in R1BC, for example picture menu hourglass, better video quality, better pic quality in lowlight, and other things (see start of this thread).
It's worth updating to R1BC, but if you only get R1AA when you update (some phones won't update to the latest), then you may inherit the invalid parameter error when copying files to the computer over cable.
So it's hard to say, but I gave it a try, got the R1BC firmware, and haven't looked back. It's a lot better than R1L002, but without the transfer bugs that plagued the firmwares inbetween R1L and R1BC.

hhmm, prolly a hardware failure, it coincided when you have updated the device thinkin that the update was the cause of this failure...
try returning it to the shop for replacement... is still under warranty?

I would agree, does sound like a hardware problem to me, the only other thing you could try is to uninstall then reinstall seus, run seus and say continue anyway when it says no update available. seus will then redownload the firmware and flash your phone again, just incase your phone has had a bad flash..

So does anyone have any idea about my problem (mentioned on pg 362)
Immediatly after upgrading to the new firmware, I lost the functions of the down and left joystick buttons, the 1,2,3 buttons, and the power button.
Since then, the two softkeys and the back and 'C' keys have also stopped working.
I know its software related, because when clicking the buttons, they still make the key click sound, but they just dont do anything.
I want to flash the phone back to the old firmware (R1AA008), didnt have any problems with that right up to the minute before the upgrade. Is this possible without paying for Da Vinci etc?

I have R1AA008 software and somehow I have a problem with my PC
recognizing properly memory stick (MS Duo 512MB). Every time I connect the phone tp PC it tries to install a driver (it was installed before with lower software releases and working perfectly) and finishes with error "Access Denied" and I can see MS in Device Manager but with a hardware problem.
I have tried to format MS using the phone but this is not helpful. Is this a software upgrade problem when a new release has MS bug?
Any ideas?
