I know its software related, because when clicking the buttons, they still make the key click sound, but they just dont do anything.
You sure it's software related? Hearing a click doesn't mean that it can't be hardware related. Have you tried running the key test in the service menu?

hhmm, prolly a hardware failure, it coincided when you have updated the device thinkin that the update was the cause of this failure...
try returning it to the shop for replacement... is still under warranty?
Yes, it is. I don't get it though. The last firmware upgrades did work. Maybe the update didn't go well. i'll retry again on another machine. thanks!

I would agree, does sound like a hardware problem to me, the only other thing you could try is to uninstall then reinstall seus, run seus and say continue anyway when it says no update available. seus will then redownload the firmware and flash your phone again, just incase your phone has had a bad flash..
I'll try that, Thanks!

Im pretty sure it is software related. Also, the phone will turn using the power button at the top, but then it wont turn off, even tho its the same button, if that makes any sense at all lol. Sounds like software to me..
Also, I cant run the key test because I cant press the side buttons on the joystick to get to the service menu...

hahaha

What version SEUS do people have. Mine is version 1.0.0.0
Do people have a different one? I went to the SE website and downloaded the new one, but still says i have this version.
Is this why it keeps telling me my phone is up to date.?

Mmm... That really stinks! Perhaps try a master reset? Otherwise I suggest bringing it to a service center. :-/

Yup, tried a full master reset. Tried reinstalling the firmware twice. Theres no SE service centers here in NZ, and I dont wanna pay a dodgy phone repair store big bucks, just for them to tell me it cant be fixed or something.
Brankar: Yeah but this happened straight after a firmware upgrade. The phone was working fine 1min before the upgrade, then as soon as I turned it on after, it wasnt working. Also, I cant get to the service menu to do a key test because I cant use the joystick left button, as mentioned above.
If it was hardware, wouldnt the whole joystick stop working instead of just two directions?

Sounds like you should use Davinci to flash back to R1AA - got to be worth a try before sending away for repair.
