@ Abu: Answering your question will result in my defending this government which is not my intention. A debate will ensure which will probably go along these lines:
I will assert that things ARE better with general inprovments in the quality and strenght of government and its institutions and you will seek to counter this.
However my point is that there should never be a point where we will be so diillusioned with things as to wish naively- in my view - for the return of military rule.

I'll like 2 thank ye all 4 welcoming d new members.
To me,Atiku seems not 2 be an honourable person.I think he should resign b4 castigating his boss.To do so while in office is not a good leadership example.

First salvo:"If u dont like the government, step down".To Atiku, from Fani Kayode
Second salvo:"The call for resignation should be directed at the president for pursuing an agenda that is subversive of the constitution and the will of majority of Nigerians".Atiku's spokesman to Obj.
Verdict:
The die is cast!
@abubakar:The next president? What indeed are we voting for and what are the options?Definitely one cannot vote for a leader on account of his; fine shoes+Agbada,or high fallutin grammer.Or on the basis of their, percieved, uprightness+honesty+overall goodness. For instance,Akinyuli with all the ovation might appear a credible candidate to be voted for but if one,for instance, does not support the legalisation of abortion (eg)and she goes ahead and implements such,as the president, where does that leave her voters? To feel short changed and start calling her names?Tell me you'll buy me a pair of shoes,I'll weigh the options then,I'll vote!Let them bring manifestos, not their personal righteousness!

@easydee: ur validity period has expired, hence that message. Recharge ur account, and u'll be able to send mms. CSD wap is too expensive for me to even contemplate trying out. If u have a handset that is HSCSD capable browsing is noticeably faster than gprs.
There are several people I can think of who'll make good presidents.
1. Marwa.
2. Donald Duke
3. Gbenga Daniels
There's more where that came from.

@amby tanx 4d advice as regards mtn but vmobile's csd is also free, u will not be billed a dime. So guys if u have a vmobile line n u stay outside lagos n ur phone has d wap csd setting all u need to do is go to ur wap csd settings n change d last number in the dial up number menu to 5 n u'll start browsin. D problem is that i think csd has been down for 2days now. But go ahead n try it.

my gist plenty, and my phone only allows 450 characters per post.
PART ONE
@egunj: pls clarify the "improvements in quality and strength of govt & its institutions". so far, no one has intimated they want military rule, so as for that point, we're all on the same page.
@easyd: i dont have an iota of a qualm about a lady pres but she has to be a TITANIUM lady to fix naija's problem. and pls leave coola! if has millions to spend on gprs.

@easydee,concernin vmobile wap,It messes up 4 sum ppl and works fine 4 sum.It started happenin early dis year, but wat I think is d reason is dat, they are tryin 2 decrease d amount of subs testin d service 4 them, bcos I noticed dat on d 31st of March when free browsin was meant 2 end I was able 2 access wap after about 2months of not been able 2.Now dat they've extend it,I can not access it again.

PART TWO
@uchrik: should we who disagree with 3rd term be arrested as well? what if the situation was different & say, obj wanted 2 send sojas 2 slaughter ijaws in the delta & atiku came out 2 disagree with the move. would you still say he should resign 4 bumping heads? as long as he is backed by the constitution AND the general will of the people (4get he has his own personal incentives), he is justified.
@ifed: methinks uchrik is among the 24%
