another segmented reply.
PART ONE
@uchrik: what a crock! its almost impossible 2 have absolutely 0 development. and its impractical 2 expect a 180 degree turn from the military days' inefficiencies. but if a few thousand naira worth of tar leading 2 ur vill enough 2 make u think things have improved then good luck 2 u. may i add the money this admin's 7yrs has gotten from fuel revs dwarfs what had been made the previous 20 yrs by far.

PART TWO
@bennie:
1) we dont queue for fuel cos we now pay 3x more than what we were before, more than most oil producing countries
2) costs of calls that could easily be regulated is left so that we pay some of the highest tariffs in the world.
3) what does obj have to do with visas?
4) how many kms of fed roads have actually (not only on paper) been repaired/built? most work i've from seen, lag to Bauchi, was state sponsored,
next: part 3

@abu: As I said earlier, I doubt that this it the place for such a debate: The merits or otherwise of this govt.

The clamour for military rule is very insidious. One should never castigate democratic government and allude to the possibility of military government as an alternative because in the hands of these people " our enemies", its fodder.

"Our enemies" and they are many, are those that are ready to try to substitute democratic governance for a military one.

Mark my words, anyone who advances this cause knows he or she will benefit from the change.

For the avoidance of doubt, I have gained little from this government personally.

before i get to part 3....
@egunj: just to clarify things, no one has posted anything heralding the return of the military. and this forum is the best venue for well-meaning, open minded people to discuss critical issues. its unless you only want to talk about phones and gprs settings! (by the way, any gist about the data speeds?) if you only talk to like-minded people in your little sector of the world, you have reduced ur own horizons.

How can you tell if they are imported or fairly used. I used to know of someone who brought FU from Dubai, but t'was not in industrial scale. Too bad that's in Abuja. Go round computer village, ges you'ld find one.

@easyd: as long as i get amala & egusi this easter. we can drop the topic but i'd just like to say i wasn't obj-bashing. i was trying to get other views on his admin's performance so far. was disappointed that some seemed to give him a D. well, lets go back to "safer" topics.
@all: has no one tried the download speed yet? just download anything, time it and put the kbs downloaded against time taken. is it that hard?
