Thanks, nice pictures. Bigger X1 screen is obvious, although not wider at all. I hope 65 colours doesn't affect the overall experience.
Hi Koto,
Hi resolution at 65000 colors beats low resolution at millions of colors. Hands down any day of the week.
I don't have the X1 YET but I proved it to somebody in another forum against the iPhone. with the following example:
Let's do the math.
Xperia 65000 color = About 10000 shades of blue
iPhone 16 million colors = About 3 million shades of blue
Xperia screen size 2.57" x 1.54"
iPhone screen size 2.90" x 1.96"
Xperia screen resolution 800 x 480
iPhone screen resolution 480 x 320
Xperia in 2.57" displays 800 shades of blue
iPhone in 2.90" will displays only 480 shades of blue
NOW THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION:
Assuming both go from the same dark blue (B1)to the same light blue,(B8)
which one has the smoothest shade?
A- the one with 800 shades in a compact 2.57"
B- the one with just 480 shades in more spread 2.90" lenght
*******************************************
In case you are the rare exception who gets the wrong answer
look at this simplified example:
B1 is dark blue and B8 is light blue
Xperia
B1 B2 B3 B4 B5 B6 B7 B8
B1......B3......B5......B7......B8
iPhone
Did you notice that in the iPhpne colors b2, b4,b6 are missing because it doesn't have the resolution to display them?
NOW THE 2 DOLLAR QUESTION:
which one is more likely to have color bands showing?
If you answer this one wrong again you are a hopeless... iphone fanboy
*********************************
@WhyBe
I don't have the X1 YET, but I'm sure you can see the difference. In the example above iPhones has 320 blue shades less. That must be noticible. That will be the first test I'll make. You can see the diference between X1 and Pro in the Asia.Znet comparison (see the link in my yesterday post)

Hey man; I'm in Dunwoody GA. You?
Wish there were some mobile phone shops in this city, I feel so left out that I can't go check out so many of these phones in person that everyone else always gets 'hands-on' with so casually
I'd been scanning ebay every day since X1 dropped in Sweden...nothing good to note. Here's to hoping Clove comes through! I will certainly let everyone know my luck.
I live in Buckhead.. moved here after spending 3-odd years living just off Ashford Dunwoody Rd.
There might be a dearth of mobile phone shops around here but there are quite a few WinMo,

and Nokia fans.. a bunch of us are on Craigslist 24*7 scanning for high end phones. There's a guy in Roswell who is a big fan of WinMo devices and I suppose he might have gotten the X1 already.
By the way, what color did you order? I hope it ain't silver.
