As orange seem to have removed track-id and flash themes, will using the wotanserver debranding put track-id on and it work correctly?

Also I like the orange menu logo, does the orange cda still put flash themes and track-id on?

Thanks

If you use the Orange CDA you will get the same firmware on that you have right now. If you put a generic CDA on you will get the flash themes and track ID again.

I'm a happy owner of both K800 and W850. But I think that the k800 got a better screen than w850. Is that true or just my imagination?

I have had my W850 now for about 2 weeks. Can I just say that I love this phone! The audio is better than any other phone I've tried including my wifes K800i. I haven't seen any lack of performance due to the small 16mb memory it comes with.

It's a solid little phone. Most if not all of the things you could want are configurable so you can either have them or not. The camera is decent and takes comparable shots to my W800i. The flash themes are great and the phone really stands out in a crowd.

SE have done a great job with this one, especially since it's their first slider. I just love the back of the slider and the detail in which they designed it. Can't wait for the next one!

I'm planning to get a W850i. Just want to get some feedback regarding e-aac+ encoding. Is it any good? or at least at par to 128kbps mp3 encoding? Does the Disc2phone comes with an encoding feature for e-aac?

Thanks a lot

It is meant to come with a 1gb card not 16mb

Why on earth did Orange remove this feature, surely it would facilitate music download even from their own site.

Orange have their own music download so will want users to use that and not the track id, which in my opinion is one of the better features of the W850i, will have to get my upgrade from somewhere where they do sim free versions on contract, does anyone know if CPW are doing the W850i on Orange as an upgrade sim free or are they Orange locked phones. There was a rumour going around that Orange were starting to supply sim free handsets if you requested one, but they only seem to do Nokias this way at the momment.

My main gripes:

* Rubbish screen and keypad brightness at night /in the dark

* Few bugs, recent caller list has to be reset sometimes to update

* Walkman illumination only lasts as long as it takes for the screen to dim

The screen thing is the one really getting me down as I have just migrated from an N80, a crap phone but had the most amazing screen I have ever seen on a mobile.

The screen reminds me of an old T610 or something with washed out blacks looking grey! Well at night anyway... stupid sensor.
