Yeah, and it's great to see a pic of T grr's BMW F800S (well part of it anyway) taken by scenic roadsides again.

why is it that when i take picture of the sky or the sky on the background, the surrounding image gets darker. on the phone screen it looks ok, but when transferred to the computer, it looks like this:
the picture is taken in broad daylight, the sun is way up and shining in all its glory where it not for the clouds. In real life, the sky should be very blue.
what setting did you use to have a picture that looks like these:

@gavster001
I used only auto settings on these pictures. I all depends on how the camera ses the light and the differens between light and dark areas.
In your picture the sun is very bright in the middle. A lot brighter then the surroundings. You can se the same in my first picture. The tree and the beach is almost black. In my second picture the sky is dakened by some dark clouds. More even to the buildings.

oh yah! i notice that now, i guess if the sun is too bright it renders the surrounding area darker, just like the pictures of the clouds above taken by amawanga. I thought there is something wrong with my camera or the settings that i used.
anyways, here's a macro shot from me:

Awesome macro mode pic there, Gavster.
Methinks you should upload that one in the esato photo gallery; there are some great dragonfly macro mode pics there already, but this one also pretty darn good.
