And with regards to polyphonic composer, I use CakeWalk Sonar. But any other MIDI editor will do just fine.
I also have cakewalk sonar. But I'm not familiar with midi stuff. How do you convert songs to midi and how do you take the lyrics out?

@SE21
Midi is very different from wave and MP3 files which are actual recordings. Midi is a set of instructions (like a program) which tells the computer what note to play and when using what instrument as well as various other properties of the sound. The monophonic ringtone editors are a very basic example of midi. The ringtone files tell the phone what notes to play at a what beat.
Midi is more complicated becuase you can play various synthesized instruments and sounds (polyphonic). Opening a midi file is like opening al the sheetmusic for all the instruments at once. So editing a midi file involves editing the sheet music for all the instruments from drums to guitars and trumpets etc (not that easy). Since Midi plays sounds that are synthesized, there are no vocals on midi songs.
There are a few programs out there that try to convert wavs and mp3s to midi but these do not do a very good job. you still have to be well versed with music to get these to sound good.

I just had my P800 upgraded to the latest firmware last Friday. Only noticed it now that I can't sync my phone with my laptop via infrared as I used to do from my office. My laptop's infra finds my P800 within range but that's as far as it goes- wireless link is not established. I tried a T68i with my laptop and everything is okay. I also tested if the T68i and P800 could communicate via infrared and they can. The last thing I did was install the latest PC suite. All these to no avail.
Any thoughts?

Fonski- thanks but I tried that already. It is on PC Connect and not modem. I also get an error message,
"The transfer failed. An error occured while Wireless link was opening files to be sent. The process cannot access the file because is is being used by anothe process."

Kung ganoon di ko na alam yan. Baka merong ibang application na gumagamit nang infrared ng laptop mo in the background.
