This phone is selling like hot bread and butter. It is now at most cellphone companies here in the Caribbean and in strong, strong demand. It will be very interesting to see the sales figures at the end of the year.
I am about to order one for a friend and will play with it for about a week before handing it over. I have to admit though that as good as it is I just cannot buy it while I have a SGS3. I don't see the need to do so.

Yes and blazing fast. Gonna be purchasing one for my buddy this week. Can't wait to try it out but will stick with my trusty S2 for me.

Yeah right ... trust that FROM in independent source with NOTHING to gain from stock price increases or number of shares sold/bought like Shin Jong-kyun.
Look to reuters/bloomberg or other worldwide renowned news sites on various markets besides technologies.

Galaxy S III
Shipments of the Galaxy S III, the latest version of Samsung’s best-selling smartphone line-up, probably totaled 7 million units by the end of June since the model went on sale the previous month, Song Myung Sup, a Seoul-based analyst at HI Investment & Securities Co., said in a June 27 report.
That was fewer than expected as production was hampered by a shortage of components such as chips and cases, he wrote.
Samsung is unable to keep up with demand for the new phone and doesn’t have trouble sourcing parts, the company said in an e-mailed statement on June 28. A delay in shipments in the U.S. is a “temporary situation,” according to the statement.
I highly doubt samsung shipped 3 million more units in less than 39 days when they could NOT keep up with demand!
Still profits are up 47% and their doing VERY well ~ although as a whole they've missed 31 analysts estimates of sales/revenue and profits: they make a LOT more than smartphones which is why their stock took a hit. Still the smartphone space their doing well.
I'd like to see what Asus can do with a re-invisioning with Galaxy Nexus maybe the "Supreme".

Yeah, I second that. A couple more months and the price will be about right. It has already happened to the HTC One X. And hopefully it will have JB by then.

@ Prom1 - the one fact that escapes your negative opinions about anything that isnt Apple related is the SGS3 sales will have shot up dramatically when the pebble blue colour was released after it was originally recalled due to colour scale issues.
So if they did sell 7million white SGS3 phones up until the end of June, im sure this past four weeks they've managed to fulfill a further 3 million with both marble white and pebble blue phones now available.
