De branded mine with totalserve no problems, after I got a t28 cable that worked. There seems to be a few doggy ones going around. The first cable just kept switching the phone on and off when I was asked to press the on button, even though I never touched the button. When I got it replace (free form irwebonline.com, where I got the broken one from)
Flashed straight away, didn't even have to press the on button, it just jumped to the next stage before I could pick the phone up.
Anyone having problems with totalserve must be them and not the software

You or them. It doesn't matter. Bad things can happen. There are dozen of reasons why update, unlocking can fail with this online solutions. From top of my head: bad cable, problems with ISP, remote server is offline, smart card error, power loss, emmaii problem... And many more. All of the current unofficial solutions are totally dependant on many things. Using any of these solutions probably will never kill your phone that it can not be repaired - unless you flash S700 firmware to K700 ;-), but solution

I had the same problem this evening. I went to
http://www.davinciteam.com/ instead. There is a later version of the client (Version 10.0). The credits you bought will work from this new client.

I donīt get it, are people so eager and in such a hurry to get the job done that they donīt have the time to actually read the instructions?
I have unlocked, unbranded and upgraded numerous phones and it hasnīt failed once, except once i flashed a R520m with wrong language version
but after a reflash with the correct file it was ok.
While I can see your frustration NOWHERE have I seen any mention to the specific error that I was receiving and that it was because of low battery power.
Point me to a specifice thread and I'll stand corrected. PLus, the directions I have (including those on many anciliary websites pointing to how to do this upgrade and debranding) have you going through many one or two extra steps that the actual Multiserver people ended up telling me weren't necessary.
Save your rants for someone who needs it!

Just tried that one, I do get further ie I can see the files I want to download but when I try to I still get the FTP Error msg.
This is really starting to tick me off now... grrr
Did it work better for you then?
