The softkeys look more like heat-sensitive buttons they're that small.
It looks like this might be the final version of Sofia after all. Its certainly different.

Can't make out much from that picture, its too small. Overall the phone looks OK I guess.

Like most SE phones, they tend to grow on you

I agree. With the first spy photos, I didn't like it at all, but deuxani's PhotoShop made it a lot more appealing. And the dimensions are definately good, if they're true.
The D-pad is certainly weird. But weird is good. I don't buy phones so I can blend into the crowd--I wanna be different. And it looks like this is going to fit the bill.
I still like Shinobu--but besides it being thin, there's nothing different/better about it than my current phone.
I don't know...it will be a hard choice.

may 28th is monday, so I think the announcement is more likely to be on 29th.
(based on most of SE's past announcements, it seems that tuesday is their "Announcement Day")
i willl get sofia as long as it costs at most 600$;
it would be ridiculous to go buy n95 instead, because i've already waited for 5 months for sofia, so 1 more week is fine.
can anyone confirm that its gonna have wi-fi?

WiFi seems to be only used on P-series devices...but with this being a UIQ phone, who knows?
I wish more specs were released...darn SE for being tight-lipped!
If it has the same radio as Shinobu is supposed to have, I will be excited.

ideally i would like this to be a powerhouse, not necessarily a power monger, but WiFi would be kinna cool ... HSDPA (3.6) would be fantastic coupled with WiFi that way im not bound to a telecomms rules!
please SE, the wait and the suspense is full tilt, please release an awesome phone, really just as many bells and whistles as possible and a speakerphone!
16mil colors ... doubtful but if they get a version of SEs bravia screen who knows, but for a 5MP camera they may have to pull out all the stops to differentiate it with the few other camphones that are equally visually capapble. 30fps movies ftw!!!

from P1 review
Real heir P990i moved on in time for the end of 2007 or early 2008.The device has the same amount of RAM as P1, but increased processor clock frequency, plus retained flip. The design is similar to the first four model series.
This is good news, so the flip isn't dead. I hope they give it the P1i qwerty.
this is not new...i have been saying it for weeks
