SuperDuper.. we knew they were adding the smilethingy, so a new firmware was expected. Thank 4uck for leaks, I couldn't bear logging in for days on end to find out something that is knowledge to the few. Well done leaky leaky person, next time just tell us Mizzle, if you can't tell us then tell someone else who can.
I was really hoping for tvout functionality, we know its possible with the hardware, why are they being such arses about such things? It would make the c905 into a mini archos, I could plug my phone into my projector etc etc.
It's obvious the issue is piracy of dvd/bluray media.
idiots
and some better explorer.... with protection.

It wasn't really that exciting though was it?

I thought it would be a better announcement than that.

Indeed, there are some OS functions, programs, explorer functions that would be piss easy for SonyE to implement, but they refuse to listen to opinion rather to garnish their tasty phones in the same old sauce, which even though better spiced is still not NEW or CREATIVE or DESIRABLE.
There should be an open hat where people can throw in ideas to SE and the most popular can be produced, I'd pay fair money for good Java applications that are proven to do what they say on the tin, even better if it was endorsed by Sony. There are some amazing apps out there. Many of us have seen what handsets are capable of now, with Java & Flashlite. This needs to be fully incorporate into the OS, either that or a homebrew scene needs to flourish. Anyone with a PSP knows how much can be achieved when the device is treated like a computer.

What about a bloody shutter that makes sure it only takes pictures when eyes are open?
Not being funny, but I suppose that is pointless in the Japaneez market

First of all, it wasn't "well done". It was a stupid move.
Secondly, you should be happy I even bothered posting hints about it here. I don't have any plans of telling anyone else about it, only to satisfy your overly privileged needs.
