Hi to all. It's been a long time since I last visited here.

Anyone here had a problem installing the PC Suit for P990? If yes, where you able to solve it and how?

Thanks in advance.

What trouble have you experienced?

My Win2K machine will not install the full package nor would it accept the USB drivers. I discovered that the MMS composer crashed the system when installing the font package. Removing this from the installation fixed that.

However, the USB drivers used for the connectivity will not install without crashing the sub-system. It could be problem on my end, but i have never had such problems before so attribute it to flaky programming.

They seem to work fine on WinXP however.

I have a Speedtouch (alcatel) 580i, it works fine with P990i.

Hi my P990i has just arrived by courier, seems OK but dont like the fact all my existing SE chargers cables etc are now redundant!

So I wonder if you guys can help wher can I buy a car charger that will allow me to have a wired headset attached,

Can I buy a USB cable that will allow me to sync and charge at the same time (similar to that supplied with the orange and white Walkman phone W800i?)

The hands free supplied is OK, but I prefer the in ear style of wired headsets like my mate with the W800 has but I must still be able to use voice dial and answer facilitys the P990i offers (I dont find BT headsets to offer the lever of reliability I require), do SE supply such a set if so where do I get it from please?

Phone is now on charge for suggested 4 hours so just reading the manual at present and waiting to see how much branding Voda have put on and then to see what they have disabled!

The official charger allows having a handsfree attached.
The USB supplied should charge the phone too.
The handsfree that comes with the W800 will work too, its called the HPM-70. Although the HBH-DS970 stereo BT headset has the same buds but is wire free and you can steam your music to it.!
