For the K850? Can you post the details of your software info please. You can get to it by pressing > * < < * < * on the main menu. and then choosing service info and then software info.

http://www.topsony.com , R1EC001 is the latest available firmware version for ORANGE UK's W890i..
So,bearing in mind that those 2 phones are based in the same platform(DB3150),it is normal that R1EC001 is also the latest software version for Orange Uk's K850s..

from what i heard R1EC001 is a new FW for our platform, included K850i and it was available for generic EU yesterday but for very shot time on SEUS..also, it shldnt be a major update, just some small fixes..maybe SE took it off from SEUS again like 38 or maybe it will be available very soon..who knows..

Currently this thread is trying to determine of Firmware: R1EC001 - is available for the K850i and the latest release. Are you saying that your K850i HAS this Firmware.

I've never had the first of anything so I've included all the details. Downloaded from SEUS at about 22:30 last night.
It is a K850i, coming from the last firmware that was on orange (was it 038?). Branded, only ever updated with SEUS.
