Anyone saw any improvement on pic quality since R1BC? it is written
"Center Weighted Average metering used instead of standard Average metering to improve photos in lower level lighting conditions."
Is it true? How if the camera is still 4.5...
thanks
Corrado
It's true. The pictures look great. Centre weighted average metering came in on R1AA

For the finding on New firmware R1CB002:
it can be sent out more than 20 SMS (30 SMS for my previous testing) in one time, limited within 20 SMS in previous firmware, such as R1AA008....

Another thing that I've noticed with R1BC, it doesn't support ask once bluetooth permissions, which is something that was included in R1N. Was this feature dropped? Can anyone copy files to their R1BC handset via bluetooth without prompting for every file?
I don't get it. If I copy one or several files from PC to K750 using Windows Explorer's 'Send to' my K750 only prompts afterwards "Saved in Pictures on Memory Stick
Use now? [Yes] [No] In other words; no need to prompt for permision, only usage after all files are transfered.
Only permission problem I face is when I use MyPhoneExplorer and want to delete some files from K750 with MPE.
Just can't remember: where was that "ask once" option to be found earlier?
EDIT:
One good thing with the camera after firmware updating: no more ISO 1600 photos,
ISO 800 being the highest in normal shooting, but if exposure compensation ("Brightness") is added, then K750 will use higher ISO.

I have a K750 with 4 problems i've found - but they are not caused by the latest firmware, these have never been fixed since day one.
1) Probably because the PhotoDJ was ported over from earlier phones, and is only meant to edit small pictures for use as contact images, and not as a photoshop replacement. Also, there IS a "Preview" feature which zooms out.
3) In the file manager I can jump around using the alphabet just fine.
3-4) The k750i isn't an MP3 phone. It's a pain to use as an MP3 phone because they want you to buy the w800 instead. You should be grateful they included anything outside of listening to songs in the file manager at all. The w800 has a full-featured media player where you can dig down a tree of artists/albums/titles. And to avoid filename/id3 tag mismatches, use iTunes for your CD ripping needs.
That makes sense. But for number 3 I still can't "jump around using the alphabet." I wonder why?
Oh and I knew about the preview in PhotoDJ, but you can't actually edit anything while previewing the full photo. You'd think SE would implement a zoom function if they were just porting it onto another phone.
Oh and re the post above this one, what is ISO?
Is that how long the shutter is open for? So shorter ISO = less blurry photos? I think SE should try and have the shutter time as minimal as possible without losing quality, because the k750 is hard to keep still - and when you press the shutter it kinda gives it a knock because you have to press hard..
Also - can someone explain to me why night mode is so slow and crappy? I don't know much about cameras, but I guessed it has something to do with having to process the image??
Thanks!

Oh and another camera related question - why does the quality decrease significantly when zooming? It's like someone turned Anti Aliasing off! The edges of stuff are all spastic.

ISO (or ASA) are denominations for filmsensitivity. Common ASA values are 100, 200, 400, 800. The higher the value the more sensitive the 'film' (or in this case the sensor) is to light (so shorter exposure time is needed => less blur). Drawback is that higher values lead to less detail (more grain, artefacts).

When I upgraded to R1AA a month ago, all of a sudden i could not sync with my PC any more (specifically Outlook calendar/tasks witht he DCU-60 USB Cable) The sync engine cranks to about 25% and then interrupts saying "sending cancelled." It does the same amount every time. Anyone else have this issue?
I'm also using a Voda branded (silver) with R1AA. I had had no problems withthe phone at all on any upgrades till this one where is sometimes hangs andrequires a reboot. Also it sometimes has sync problems with Outlook, tho' it wil lgo thoro sometimes.
Oddly, it copies data drom the phone to the computer even tho it is set for the other way only. Furthermore, for some odd reason {can anyone help here?] it copies over mp3 files to my card to the root directory and fills it up....

Menu, settings, connectivity, bluetooth, my devices. Select "more" on the device, Allow Connection, and there are options to "ask always" or "ask once". I have set the device (my computer) to "ask once", yet when I send groups of files to the K750 it still asks for permission on each file.
Mabe it's a customisation difference? Is yours branded or unbranded?
