Try this: Settings>wireless controls> mobile networks> access point names> and make sure "vodafone connect" is chosen and not "vodafone live!"
If it still doesn't work, then better call up the vodafone people...
And with vodafone live! too only the browser works, the apps and gmail do not... so i though u must be on the basic gprs plan...

yep now its working. Knew i was wrong somewhere lol. Thanks a lot. Am all set with apps and internet

well its been in airing cuboard all day and "dried out"

Ill try on my phone. It's on update. I had R10014 or something and I guess the latest is R2XXX. Can't rely on SE for latest update lol

I rooted my phone earlier but I have now gone back to the R2BA020 firmware as its much quicker.

I don't see the point in rooting X10. At least in my opinion, the phone is great as it is, I'm not going to root it when I get it.
