JDi has never shipped oled before.
JOLED started in Q4 2017, monitors panels to Asus.

Nice. Well I hope it's meaningful that Sony decided to wait for these OLEDs instead of shopping around from LG or Samsung prior to now. Very curious to see how they perform in reviews.

So are these JDI's first batch of OLED displays for phones or have they had their screens in other phones?
No, like I said in my earlier post, probably from LG, and Roland has confirmed this

JDI has no production yet of such oleds ready.

Sony usually uses all sorts of different screens for LCD in the past so I'd wait to see how it performs, LG OLED screens are not great and nobody knows about the JOLED.
I've used the HTC squeeze thing and it sucks, it's totally unnecessary.

So, it has the shitty screen used on V30/V35.
If Triluminos tech saves this screen from mediocrity then it is miraculous.

Obviously POLED means that plastic substrates are used. This Ronald only wrote what came to his head, that is the impression he left me.
We'll have to wait until tomorrow to have an idea of who makes the panels.

I hope the press will be better this time.
MWC 2017 was great, IFA 2017 was pretty dead.
MWC 2018 was awful too.

Did any one had used Sharp phone? They used to have the "Grip Sensor" which sense whether the hand is on the frame or not. If yes, the screen won't rotate. Also, screen on when you touch it. They had drop this very useful feature now.
Hope that frame sensor will be like this. Not that rubbish HTC squeeze.

Z phones had option to avoid rotation by detecting if you are looking at your phone.
I do not know if X series has it.
