I've tested two 031 firmwares (PLAY PL branded and CENTRAL EUROPE unbranded) and NO RANDOM REBOOTS at all. So I think that those reboots are some kind of hardware issue (i.e. incompatibility of hardware with new software or something?) that happens only on some exact models. That's why SE Centers are exchanging k850is' mainboards... As I can see, only people with random reboots are getting Blue Ring of Death. So - if you are experiencing reboots on 031 you better downgrade to 037... otherwise, it is a possibility that your phone will be dead.
I think SE f***ked up the work not only with fw, but with hw, too... I'm happy that my phone works okay, although I'm still not happy with camera performance. Still love k800i photos heh...

As mentioned, I just got the BROD, but never had any random reboots.

anyone had a restart with a black and silver O2 handset. I would think these have the latest hardware and firmware.

I just flashed my K850i via http://www.kulankendi.com for test only--just to indulge my curiousity. I flashed it with R1EA031 MAIN CHINA CID 52.min and R1EA031 APAC ANZ CID 52.fsm. My CDA is 1201-8437. The flashing process took approx. 13 minutes and it was a success.

Just for a test again, I updated it via SEUS. SEUS gave me Continue Anyway option. SEUS accepted the phone and it loaded the same R1EA031 to my phone. It means Kulan Kendi flash with correct CDA brings NO problems with SEUS. That's good.

Then, I just checked and found out :
- that I have NO HSDPA option! (I didn't do any master reset, though). Hmm, strange.
- PhotoMate works without 'Application Uses Too Much Memory' warning anymore despite all downloaded modules. Fresh installment, maybe? The version of PhotoMate installed on my phone is 1.1.8. I can't remember whether it's the same as before. Can anybody check?
- link of Scoopt in the built-in Netfront browser gives me just a blank page. It is just gone.
- NO reboots, NO Blue Ring Of Death. Excellent.

Therefore, I suggest that people with problems in their K850i flash the phone with the latest firmware installment. Thanks to reliable 3rd party flasher like www.kulankendi.com , www.davinciteam.com or www.totalgsm.org for easy-do-it-at-home-by-yourself solution. It's not free, though, but it worths it, right?

BROD happened to me today with R1EA31. Used SEUS to update to latest FW.

@aremaboy:
My restarts started after flashing with kulankendi. I've since "updated" with SEUS ("continue anyway") and it seems to have stabilized. Only time will tell.
