Just make sure your C905 is not manufactured in October or the first week of November. Those are the ones amounting to maximum damage.

You can check when is your phone manufactured by looking at the battery. There's an abbreviation of year and week of production there.

For example, there should be something like this: 08W44 on the middle-right of the battery, it means the phone was produced in 2008 week 44.

That, or bringing it in for service but it could take a long time right now. Like se_dude said yours is from October 2008 which means it's from the infamous 'bad batch' of C905s.

Is it defo a bad batch or a software issue this earpiece issue happened to my first one cant remember what week got it swapped with week 42 wierd thing is phones 4 u had too mess about in shop doing the exchange cause while it was exactly the same phone sim free it had a different product code could this be a different batch
