@Dogman
this kind of backs up my theory that the delays to other networks are because all units are been taken by Voda.
"us lookin at the stock report an none in HO stock!
next delivery is 27th September.
so all stock is in stores. and voda av exclusivity on it for two weeks lol."

Anothing thing to gain more battery life, change the backlight brightness setting to 50% or lower. The screen is still very readable. The default 90% is very very bright!!

He He He... I keep the brightness level to 0% at home and 25% otherwise to make my P990 last for a full day... At 100% brightness it hardly lasted for half day... Will get a spare battery soon...

I'm lucky cause I have my old W900 battery (would have my K800 one but my girlfriend has that)

I keep mine at 50% at the moment, seems fine.

Using Wifi seems to drain the battery, used it for 1 hour and it was going down like nobodys business
Will give it a full charge and retry!

Hi all,
Whilst i can understand peoples frustration at not being able to get the phone they want now. Does it not make sense that these networks keep delaying the release for a good reason? As releaseing a phone with so many problems cause them too many headaches as of course they want to sell phones to you and take your money so there must be a good reason for it. [...]
Marc
I agree with you on this point, while it is frustrating not to be able to get it on a network l want to use, at least they are giving it a good test, so hopefully it will be bug free when its avaliable.

Wifi use battery for sure. I also disable 3g when I don't need it. Saves battery.

Hi Guy,
Yes you are right i don't have one and for good reason and not the fact i couldn't afford one either. If you or others are happy with your P990's good luck to you and i really hope you are enjoying it. But if one more person says don't worry they'll fix i'm going to scream LOL.
How long has this phone been avaliable for? and how many updates have there been so far as i have lost count and yet there still appears to be many problems for some if not all, if this is acceptable to you and others fine but to me it is unacceptable and thats the reason i don't have one plain and simple.
I bought an N93 which is also meant to be plauged with problems but i have seen none, well actually just one couldn't open a photo sent by bluetooth which i can live with. No freezes, no crashes, no low memory warnings or apps closeing, I have used every function on the phone with out any problems surfing via 3G and WiFi, syncing over bluetooth, useing Home Media seever, e-mail send and recieve etc etc. But had i experienced problems the phone would of been returned immediatly with out hesitation. So lets all try and be happy with what we have and stop attacking any one that dares hold a different opinion.

by the by, are there any pc programs that let you type a text on your pc, and send through your (connected) 'phone?
Eh.. just use notepad! Then send the txt-file to the phone wia BT or so... p990 can open it and you can copy and paste the text best you want.
yeah, but i kinda meant a program like the mms editor, except for sms if youk get me..

I have managed to get my P990i to sync with another PC, I Have done the SEUS but It told me I have the latest SW. SE told me today that they are only supporting the P990i on Voda at present I do not know if that fits with others experience's?
I now have to figure out what is stopping the damn thing from working with my work machine as all my guys use the same kit and if it aint working for me me I guess it wont work for them which will be a problem especialy as some are due for upgrades in the next couple of weeks!
I was told that it could be because we all have vodafone 3G Data Card SW installed and I do remember that I have to change the port allocation to make them work when I first installed it.
One thing I have not yet really got to grips with is the media player it seems very time consuming having to set setting up playlists etc in the way the device wants, So i need to spend some time with the manual and a card writer tonight! However I have spoken (Via email) to the developer of Power MP3 today and he says he should have a UIQ3 version out by the end of October I hope so as I really miss its easy to use interface and great flexibilty.
I really like the 990's new calendar with its week veiw I find that very usefull, and the today view application is realy handy, I would struggle to justify paying out another reg fee for handyday pro now, but I would like a global clock and weather viewer so I will keep an eye on Handango.
