Look at my shot of the purple flower in macro mode here:

It's disturbing how the shots come out all fuzzy around the edges of, in this case, the flower!

no its not. it is if you're using davinci, but using SEUS its R1EA031. i updated mine yesterday after first debranding it using davinci. it's now generic_so R1EA031

I used davinci to unbrand my k850 to WESTERN- EUROPE (R1CA029), and the last firm that i have updated in SEUS is the R1CA037... now SEUS says that i have the last firmware...
SE customer service told me that in spain the news fw for ubranded phones...arent avaliable.

well, i flashed using davinci to customised uk 037 fw and then updated using SEUS to 031. maybe for spain its not out yet. i remember being in spain and getting everything 6 months after everyone else got it...

I also had Western Europe unbranded, and flashed with kulankendi (www.kulankendi.com) to R1EA031 CID 52 and changed the CDA to 1202-5694. Now SEUS recognizes my k850 as upgradeable, and I have as language and dictionary options Portuguese, Spanish, French, English, German, Dutch and Turk. So it's a combination I recommend, CDA 1202-5694 and kulankendi (which only costs 8 euros to flash, while the others cost 10 euros or more).

, aaah por fin puedo dejar de hablar un poquito en ingles xDD. Uf me da cosa pagar por pasar a la 031 , si cada vez que sale una actualizacion son 8 o 10 euros pues menuda gracia... no se yo si cambiando el CDA luego el SEUS me dejara actualizarlo.
jbbrs, your fw version is western europe but with CDA 1202-5694 ??

yep, thats the same CDA i have. just davinci it to customised uk/blue 037 (western europe) for €10 and thats what it puts on. then just use SEUS and it updates to the newest one, i.e. 031. i think its worth it, was doubting a lot as well. btw, i also have catalan, euskara and gallego.
por cierto, no tienes que pagar cada vez que actualices. es solo para quitarle el branding que tiene o lo que sea. una vez que tengas la version de firmware correcta, actualizar por el servicio de sony ericsson a traves del ordenador no te cuesta nada. aunque, como dije antes, es posible que en españa no esten disponibles esas actualizaciones aun, que ahi todo sale mas tarde, no entiendo por que...
