Hi all just downloaded the update via WiFi. Took 12 mins to download and less than ten to install. Agree with all that's been said. Everything seems smoother /quicker. Only just started but feels great, even more noticeable than .14 - .16. Also agree that OTA is good as no data loss.Am on generic UK thanks to debrand thread on here.

Just to be clear I am now on FW 1.6, Baseband 1.1.25, Kernel version 2.6.29-rel semc-android@SEMC2 2

Do any of you see many other people with an X10? Which colour do you see the most often?

I was last back in the UK in April and didn't see anyone but I guess it's because most of the networks still hadn't picked up their stock and now I'm in China where the X10 isn't officially on sale and so my chances of seeing one are even slimmer. Saying that, I went into a mobile phone market last week and saw a display model asked to look at it and it was a Japanese model with the Japanese model on the back.

Hmm, if what's in that link is true, maybe they really are going to be releasing an R2 update for the X10a at some point. Based on the dates associated with those R2 firmwares on that site, it looks like they're still making a lot of changes to the firmware (since they keep coming up with newer versions), so perhaps that's why us NAM users haven't seen an update yet. Hopefully soon though, I'm not prepared to wait much longer for this.

Hi!

Just got my X10 this morning. I bought it from a person that had tested it before he sent me it. Now when im trying to start it up all I get is a "error-triangle" in front of a black x10 on the screen.

Does anyone have a clue what to do or whats wrong?

This might be a very lame question but I need to figure it out.

What is Rooting X10 and does it void my warranty issues?

@Indiandawg Rooting your X10 will give you root access meaning you can do more advanced customisation and allow certain apps from the market to do fancy stuff. As far as I'm aware it will void your warranty just as flashing your firmware with anything other than the firmware it came with will void your warranty.

@xironghostx sounds bad, try reflashing the firmware using SEUS if that doesn't fix it then it's probably hardware related. Think about asking questions of the seller who says he tested it before he sent it you. For my money unless it's tested in front of my eyes or by the factory it came from it's not really tested.
