Anyone else unimpressed with Widgets? They're cool - sort of - but they're also enormous memory hogs! Each one consumes 100-200 MB of RAM, and holds onto that RAM until you log off. It's especially a problem when your machine that can hold no more than 1GB of RAM.

I don't suppose there is a way to run a Widget like a regular Application - open when you need it, closed (and no longer consuming memory!) when you don't?

In the meantime, I better check the "3 GB RAM" box on the iMac build-to-order page!

Load it into Photoshop, or some other image editing program, scale it or crop it, and save as a JPEG.

Alternatively, have a look at the following page, for how to take screen grabs of areas of the screen, rather than the whole of it:

and I cant find the receipt (bought it from the apple store in London,and have a copy of my bank statement with it on)

am I fooked without it? will i end up having to pay for it

EDIT- spoke to an apple dealer, they said i dont need the receipt because they can find the info from my serial number
