i've decided to give SE another shot (after my rant about feeling cheated haha) and i'm on the hunt for an intermediate phone until one of the newer cybershots come out. i've narrowed down to the cybershots. now i need some advise between this phone (C902) and the C702. i have a couple of priorities:-

1. buttons must be comfortable to text quickly (i'm a VERY heavy texter)
2. UI faster than smartphones or the K850
3. photo light (the brighter the better)
4. good camera (be it thru available modded camdrivers or in it's naked glory)

i'm thinking the C902 is the way i should go but i don't seem to see anyone modding it's camdrivers to make it better. whereas there seems to be more activity on the C702 front. and since my k750 days, i REALLY appreciate how the modded camdrivers bring out the best in the phone's camera.

i've read thru the many comparison threads but am still indecisive. advise anyone?

i can recomend c902. i went from c905 to c902 becuase of some problems with my c905.
c902 feels more solid and have at least a camera who works properley, (i dont see any reason for modding the camera, the original software works fast and good). it have a smaller screen though, but overall c902 is more well made.

I can advise you on the C702,

The buttons aren't comfortable at first but your get used to them
All A2 phones are slow and bugged in some way, the C702 doesn't have major bugs anymore and everything fuctions as it should but it's not speedy and multi tasking will slow it right down. The so called photoflash is a fancy name for led flash just as powerful as the C702's dual led flash,
The camera is very good the sharpness & detail of the pics is great, the camera is good out the box but i have modded the driver because the oringal 1 isn't excatly optimized.
The C902's cam will only take nice pics in daylight or when theres light, as soon as the light gets low forget it the cam is useless as the heavy noise reduction kicks in, The C702 will shoot nice pics in all light conditions since it's only 3.2mp not so much noise redcution is needed.
Both cams have there disadvatages, The C702's one is it's smaller aperature and the c902's one is it's heavy noise reduction and smaller cell size, the C702 has the biggest advantage though of less megapixels so the cell size is bigger.

i dont think all A2 phones runs slow. (i rather think its mather of different firmwares who make it run little buggy).

about cameras, its very few cellphones who take great pictures in low light, most phones need a good among of light to create good quality.
i havnt played with my c902 that much, but most indoor pictures seems to be good (better then i expected), so i disagree that c902 only can take great outdoor pictures.

tnx Nicke

thanks for ur views guys. it does help in deciding.

C702 is definitely more feasibly due to it's pricing (esp when it's only gonna be an intermediate phone til kate or filippa/frances comes out) but i'm concerned about stubbing my thumbs (i send an average of 1,500 text messages a month). and i love it that they've got DOUBLE LEDs. but those buttons....hmmmmm....

anyway, i think i'll pop by a SE shop to try the buttons on the C702. if they are cool, i'll get the C702. if they seem to become a hindrance then i might just take the C902 instead.

EDIT: typo on model number

Hi guys,

I have a problem with my C902 and a very weird one.

The blue thin "led" ligth near the camera sensor does not come off itīs always on.
If i turn the phone off itīs also on and the only way to make it disappear is to take the battery out..
Yesterday it was on all day and i let it connected during the nigth and itīs off now, iīm missing something here?

@car12, try with a master reset after that, if the problem won't gone then reflash your firmware.

reflashing your phone (SEUS or any other websites) might help

but i think you have a hardware problem.

because you said that even when you turn the phone off the blue light stays on....

is it normal that the battery indicator now no longer changes colour when it goes below 20%? i noticed even when my battery was below 10%, it was still green in colour...whereas the older models i've had, they'll change to yellow and red respectively.
