i brought a k850 last year 22-apr-09
and after i installed the cx 8.0
after a month i got this BROD thingi
then i cannot solve by flashing using a2 or seus
then it was in the warranty period(feb10-2010) so the sony ericsson service ppl
told tat they have to change the board
then fixed by(feb28)-ok
after installing it again
in a month again it happened again (apr-16)
the same one month
and now its fixed in the same way and i got it just yesterday

i am not here to hurt anyones feelings or their hard work
i just want some help and just want to help
i am asking a suggestion can i use
NAVAR'S camdriver v8.6 without manual settings
will it make any stress on the processor in my k850
pls help me

Thats bad. But in my opinion, you can use anybody's drive. Yes you can use navar's drive, if you want to. Its also one of the best drive.

About your BROD, i think once you get it and you fix it, there are more chances that you get it again. I know a member here, who got BROD very frequently. In the end, he has moved from K850i.

What you can do is reflash your phone again with a2up with different FS and R1FA035 Generic main. As the firmware is installed via SEUS.

Finally its upto you whether to use or not any drive.

too much of load on the processor by the driver
does manual settings create too much load on the processor
well it is almost a new k850 as they have changed the
total circuit board with the system connectors
so are there any symptoms for BROD

am i asking too much questions ???

No i dont think manual settings creat extra load on processor. There are no symptoms of BROD. I remember once i had also BROD. I was playing game on it. and suddenly the phone restarted. Then i saw phone was not started and blue ring on camera was on for long time. I had reflashed it using a2up. I think i had flash it for the first time using a2up. Previously the firmware was installed at service station. May be via SEUS.

so u must've known lots about the phone
is there any way to speed up the animations(gifs)
as u can see that they are slow when u go for the preview

so what are the things u've modded in your phone
i've changed the font,media layout,cam,media hooks --tats all

There is no full proof way to increase the speed. As K850i has very low heap memory. As you use your phone, the heap get consumed. Like when you make call, listen to music, play game or run any application, the heap get used. Resulting in slow phone. If you use, animated wallpaper or accelerometer based theme, heap is used very fast.

I am very heavy user of my K850i. I dont have pc at home. My only access to internet is my phone. plus i listen to music over bluetooth handset. Plus 8 gb memory card which is full by 85%.

To speed up, i usually do one restart at morning to keep less consumed heap.

About modding. I am using cam drive, accoustic drive, display drive, no operator logo, change music nowplaying layout, all 3 soft key mods, and 5 to 6 patches. No problem at all.

Yes, i am using r1fa035 generic firmware with c-asia fs and customized files.
