Hey Guys,

As well the fone reviewed by GSMArena is a previous version of the C905 as the newer beta models have the tag 8.1 Megapixels pasted on the side and not 8 megapixel as stated by this one. As well the video call camera is bigger then the one on this...

Cheers ...

thanks god....Finally you believe there is a mistake in the white paper

Might be a mistake in the whitepaper, or a WP for the version without the video call camera implemented. If it's indeed a mistake that's a glaring mistake on 's part. Oh well I might have gotten a bit too passionate about that one

Guys, that article which said it had VGA video said this at the end:

"I do not hand-on this cellphone. All material in this review is a subject of my craftsmanship with data from other blogs."

Also, the article is completely riddled with mistakes in both grammar and specs. I think that the VGA video part is wrong. He obviously can hardly speak English, so maybe can't understand it much either. Therefore he may have mistaken "does not have VGA video" for "does have VGA video" or something like that. Anyway, read the article and I think you'll agree.

It would make sense if the "a" version does not have a videocall camera, but the regular C905 probably does.

Any chance for SE to modify the white paper of C905 and add VGA video shooting, instead of QVGA? They did it before with the X1, when they've put an extra 128 MB of RAM, and that was a rather important hardware upgrade.

jepherberich had a legit point that I also was wondering about. Might be a difefrent version (Chinese version doesn't have 3G does it), or different proto. Point is, without a front camera, VGA@30 fps recording, and a flash-always-on option this phone is an unnecessary let-down in too many regards, while being great in others. Luckily, it looks like the torch function is in, from what I've seen from the menu in a video on YouTube.
Still, if those let-downs are confirmed I'll skip this Sony Ericsson at those prices as I skipped the K850.
Still waiting for a viable upgrade from my K750.

If you live in an area with 3G and video calling is available, then your C905 WILL have video calling. If you live in a country with no 3G or no video calling, then you will probably get one of the video call camera-less versions.

I'm pretty sure it has a video light option, and it has the torch option as you said, so if you don't mind me asking, whats the problem there?

@F-Lexx: The white papers are often changed because there are often errors. You're likely to see different versions of the white paper come out at some stage.

'Opal said "SE used a 5.91mm canon lens wich is bigger than the K850 and N95 and have a bigger sensor check the devleoper site of SE and by the way the N95 had only 5.1mm lens so plz check the exact specs b4 posting here."'

- A Canon Lens? What is this guy on about, seems like his Opal Fruits were 'made to make his mouth water'...

This, as far as I know is the only Canon stench wafting around the CameraPhone market!

I fully backup what someone mentioned earlier, with the N95's 5.6mm Focal length...

Meanwhile, 'Mr Starburst' needs to 'lime' down and chill out.

why won't you people understand that SE will not put VGA recording in Cyber-Shot phones...
IT DOES have a video call camera, but phone will be available for 3 regions. China, Europe, and USA. We don't know which one they've tested on different sites. But Laffen said it has camera (he was there in person, and TOUCHED the phone, tested it, and he's not an idiot to tell lies), so it has.
It will have 128 RAM, so that means it will be fast. Major advantage is the Capuchin project, so we will see games and applications that use flash lite and java (ex. think of KD player with advanced animations - even better than w960 player)

I think SE will put VGA recording in their Cyber-shot phones. Maybe not with this phone, but definitely soon because they are getting too far behind in that aspect. Just think if SE's phones still had QVGA video recording in 3 years time! That would be shite! So it has to come eventually.

I'm not worried though, I hardly ever use video on my phone. I like having it there if I want it though, and would like to see an upgrade. It just isn't a necessity for me.
