@Aurelius the way I see Mobile Phones now and in future is when ur out and about. You want to see a video you record Or listen to any tune at a particular time or location or a picture you can that's what Mobile is all about its not a Desktop pc I keep everything on it if I can, it's a shame my music alone is like 32GB. And I believe in Quality too if I Could I'll have my music at cd quality.
you just proved the point of cloud storage.. you don't want to keep everything on your device. 32GB is a lot. you argue that you'd want to record 1080p videos, are you planning on recording 3 hour movies?

most videos I shoot are anywhere from 2-3 minutes long with the occasional 15 minute video, which i usually youtube later anyway. Your music alone is 32gb.. again, why keep everything on one device?

i stream my music almost exclusively and it works and sounds great over 3G (not wifi or LTE).

Because Nypon is gonna have good specs(4" qHD,8.1mp,2x1GHZ/512MB or 1GB) and full metal body. That's what the rumours suggest. If that holds true and its price is around 350eur,it's definately great.SONY should ditch qualcomm all together, after all its HTC who gets all the juice first.SONY,and as unknown13x suggested, should be working with ST-Ericsson...i just cant wait for the first xperia based on u9600.Plus.i have a feeling that if xperia S fails in the market, then Sony could release an international version of xperia ION with snapdragon S4 in summer. However,i dont think that xperia S will fail,as the phone has a striking resemblance to k800,my all time favorite SE phone. They are both camera-centric,and good all-around phones, with reasonable launch prices.
I have to confess, that i was a little sceptical about Nozomi, however after hearing about the launch price, then i saw the bigger picture.Plus the media collision that Sony is bringing to xperia(music, video, games, photos, connectivity) is just so amazing.Color me excited about 2012.I just hope that they will release a successor to xperia arc, since i like the design of the device.

Soo the only thing Nypon will have over the Xperia S is the full metal body? No, thanks.

I've got a bad feeling that in 2012 Sony falls behind not only sammy, nokia and apple, but also htc in photo quality dept. No progress since Satio:(

Actually the Xperia S/Ion cameras seem very capable and are better than anything else on the market right now including the Htc Titan 2 , Galaxy S II, HTC Sensation XL and quite close to the Nokia N8 overall.

How are you going to prove it? Using these camera examples, showing the opposite?

S(E) seems obsessed about how fast the camera is. They should at least have an option to improve quality with slower speeds

I quite like that they are concentrating on the camera speed and I think the quality is ok for a phone cam.
Ok, it isn't as good as the Cybershot branded phones but this isn't Cybershot branded and the camera isn't the main selling point but a small part of the whole.
In a world where manufacturers are slimming portfolios and trying to create a overall package, the speed of the camera matters at least as much as the quality and the quality here is satisfactory for an overall package.
If Sony were concentrating on a pure photography monster I'd expect much more but they're quite obviously not.
This is a package with NFC (which is cool by the way), distinct design (supposedly) and an impressive UI.

I'm just saying how hard or costly would it be to have a microSD slot... I'm sure it would help sales
