machuca_622 & BlueQuill >> I hope both of do a desktop backup of the phone via the Nokia PC Suite - Windows only. BEFORE installing any new applications. Good advice for things like this.
>>machuca_622 I believe you have a currupt application. Short of a phone apps only boot (look on pages 1-3 of this thread) - this way only the core phone system calls will load. After that your gonna have to use an app like FExplorer to delete any folders/files related to your app. Then a normal power on boot. Should sort out your phone. BlueQuill I suggest you do the same.
If any of you have used hacked applications that you need to install in any directory 1 or more files in order to hack a commercial app >> you MUST do the above if not then a full format will work. Only do so if your contacts did a successful sync with PC Suite. after full format resync - with desktop overwrites handheld - then do a backup with each app installed after rebooting there after (so install app; reboot, backup; BEFORE installing the next app) . This helps identify which app is causing issues.
Cheers! PS remember all this changes when we all move to S60 3rd Edition with Symbian OS 9.1a
