Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Haig,
I don't know whether you sorted this out but I have just set up my WLAN internet connection and met the same problem.
After a lot of digging around I found the solution to be very simple. The default Vodafone bookmark set up is a WAP site that can't be read over an internet connection - hence the COULD NOT LOCATE REMOTE SERVER
error. Switch to a proper website, ie
http://www.bbc.co.uk and all works fine.
Thanks, I'll try it later as I still havn't got mine to work. Some others have kindly suggested its the router, I use a netgear and it recognises the phone mac address so I dont think its that.
I'm actualy going to send my phone back to Voda because the ringer and external speaker have stopped working. a master reset made no difference. Unfortunately Voda online have no more in stock. But I hope the new phone will connect via wi fi like everone elses.

Hi peeps. You all seem to be, for the most part, enjoying your P990s. I envy you in some ways. I cant afford one yet. Just wanted to know what's the cheapest price it's been seen for around this time (sim-free, unlocked) in US$? Thanks for the replies in advance.
Also what you think of E61 and w800i. If I cant get P990 then I'm gonna use my w800 and get a E61 for the time cause I need wifi.

Don't know whether it is the cheapest (but based on the current UK£ US$ rates looks pretty cheap from where I'm sat

) but Amazon.com and Plemix.com are both doing it for $649

Bit off topic, sorry..
I have bought Handyday and did not know that it would not have the option to open when the flip is opened (like all previous versions) - unless I am missing something.
so...does anyone know of a keymapper programme for p990?

@SL33PYH34D
USD 649!!! That's a good price to beat , I paid mine USD 1115, but it's in 12 equal montly instalments, so it won't hurt too much.
This is the price I had to pay to be the one of the first to have the phone

In October 20th when the P990 is officially released in Turkey, it's price will be at least 25% cheaper.

)))) But who cares, only a few have it now, and it get's all peoples attentions...

Please refresh my memory, how many gb the P990i supports and which are the best memstick pro duo and the faster/high speed ones? I remember there was a discussion about this subject a while ago.
