Wow, thanks Mizzle and masseur for ur attention

I actually have the W890 and I'm gonna switch to this real soon, so I'm just wondering if its really worth it cos music is the top priority for me, hehe. Is the bass as nice as the MegaBass?

Um, do you think that a firmware update would provide us more features, say, the equalizer? hehehe
I can't say I like CorePlayer that much but as long as music goes it will do the job fine, however I do prefer the including SE player over this.
Shame it doesn't handle WMA files.

Hi Masseur,
Thanks for your response and no in the week i kept the TyTN i didn't try any cooked Rom's. I also don't like using equalizers on my devices either as these really are just trying to make up for poor quality in the hardware. The artist and recoding engineer spend plenty of time mixing the Music to sound the best it can and a decent quality recording shouldn't need boosting IMHO.
@Rodin69
Thanks for your response that's good to know as am looking at using the the on screen keyboard by using Reasco Pro Keyboard with my fingers.
Anyway have to go now as my X1 has just arrived and it's time to start exploring it, just going to put it on charge whilst i go for one of my walks of the day. Hope fully by late afternoon i will have my first reports.
Marc

@masseur
now that you've had the x1 for a while how would you say the internet browsing fairs against the iphone?
this could be the deciding factor for me as this is the main feature i'll be using.
still 50:50 for me...

Interesting...can you elaborate on that?

how about my qn?
X1 has remote desktop?
Yes.. works fine.. except all icons on your desktop of your PC is squeeced in at a 800x480 space.. and remain that way after disconnecting. So you have to re-arrange them. I solved this by making a new user on my PC that I use when i connect remotly. Then i have my "own" icons with the X1.
I have also got Wake On Lan to work.. hehe.. so I can wake my PC up from my phone if I forgot to start it.
edit: You have to download a remote desktop client for it to work.. but it's free.

Please, anyone?

@mobman, I do prefer Opera over pocket IE but I'd still rather be browsing on the iPhone, mostly because of the larger screen I guess. even though there are much less pixels it just much easier on my eyes. I can read the iphone screen without my glasses but not the X1 unless I set a large font.
@WhyBe, well most of my multimedia entertainment comes from Itunes. Largely I watch video podcasts on my way to/from work that download automatically when I sync each morning. On Fridays, if I'm having a beer on the train home, which I sometimes do, then I watch a load of music videos. Again I think the better multimedia experience comes down to the viewing size of what I am watching and how easy it is on the eyes. I'm no game player, except for backgammon and chess, so I don't need fast moving graphics and so I make no comparison there.

Oh, OK. I thought maybe you were refering to the quality of the media software or included format support.
